That's because the reality is that a G37 or 370z is a solid 3-4mph and 2-3 tenths slower then a stock ls1 fbody in reality. It's all the bullshit, lying mods and negative da timeslips that give those nisssan owners a false sense of how fast there cars are that is the issue. They are close, true, but "close" as in a Mach 1 to a SS camaro: close but no cigar.

i must've ran poor representations of a mach car. the only good races i've had with n/a mustangs were...well, i haven't.
i did roll race a auto h/c 347 car, but it only trapped 111 so i figured he was full of **** or had no idea how to drive. he claimed to run 11.90s. i told him i ran 13.3s and he told me to ge the **** out hahaha.

All this 370z = LS1 talk is nonsense Dont let the 370Z guys fool you. They BS just as much as the 350z owners do. Go tell a 350z owner in stock form their not fast and see how defensive they get. "HR 350z's are low 13 second cars"....ok

I wouldn't have raced if he wasn't so cocky my car had me 185lbs my buddy 200 somthin and some car parts in the trunk. I think I could have done better with less weight. But thanks guys ill keep posting as I keep slaying em

buddy had a new M6 370z a while ago, don't get me wrong its a fun little car that can handle really well. out of the box its a performer but IMO its a waste of money to buy just bolt-ons for it. FI FTW in that case. he claimed he raced and has beaten a LS1 camaro/6.1 challenger and lost to a LS1 corvette/STI w/ 28lbs~ boost. he ended up trading it in for a 2011 5.3 silverado

Am I the only one not surprised it was a close race? The 370Z and LS1 are very evenly matched in stock form.
The 370's weigh 300-400 lbs less than an F-body. The mid 2000's models have right around 300HP. They run 0-60 in high 4's or low 5's. 1/4 mile in low 13's.
The new 370's have 332HP, run 0-60 in 4.5 and the 1/4 mile in high 12's, that's average times. A new 370Z would tear up a stock LS1.
And yeah, as an owner of an A4 I know if you nail it anywhere between 40MPH and 50MPH you're going to be slow as *****, I'm actually surprised you caught up. If you had nailed it at 38MPH, the whole car would lift up, nose and everything.

when my car was bone stock i was bumper to bumper with a mach1 with cold air and an x pipe. now i havent seen a mach1 worth taking a second look at FORD OHC motors are a joke and should be thought of as such. the only thing ford did half *** right was the 03-04 cobra which they ruined by putting in IRS those cars would be worthless if a solid axle wasnt a direct swap. pretty bad they gotta have more valves, more cams, better flowing heads, rev higher, and have a blower to barely outrun an ls1
