One day in the not-too-distant future (as I've said way too many times
) I will own an Admiral Blue LT4 Corvette. To be honest, I would take one of those over a regular C5.

Well in an attempt to stay on topic (for a few sentences), anyone who is buying a 370z to drag race is wasting their money. Who cares if some random guy in a Z can pull a 12.9x@107 or 108 or whatever? The LS1 Camaro's were meant to be fast in a straight line so why do people even bother comparing two cars that are built for total opposite reasons? Even so, it's still impressive that technology has permitted a car with a 2.0L disadvantage with an NA v6 have identical or similar acceleration....
Now in an off-topic note, I wouldn't mind owning a C4 ZR1, C5Z06, or C6Z06 either!!

My father had a C4 LT4(which he traded in for a Caddy). With sticky tires and a drop in K&N, I would touch 12.9s on some nights.
The LT4 heads were 195cc that flowed in the vacinity of 240cfm. They had a similar cam as the LT1 but the LT4s came with 1.6rrs compared to the 1.5s of the LT1. The LT4 intake was also different. It had raised runners to accomidate the ports of the LT4 heads. That intake manifold flowed slightly better than an LT1. The LT4 also got larger injectors.
I think the bump in compression came from the valve relief in the pistons being more shallow than what it was on the LT1.

That, along with the freer flowing intake & exhaust, made it a tad faster than the LT4-powered Corvettes on average.
