Damn the BMW owners and their snobby *** selves. There was a thread on e90post where this dick was really trashing pushrod v8's and calling them junk and fbodies unsophisticated just because it's an old way of doing things. Well it still fricken works doesn't it? I hate that elitist bullcrap.

I had a 01 M3 and with full bolt ons which made 310rwhp and 249rwtq, lol. They are great cars but really have to get up in the rpms to show there power. They are very good highway cars due to there gearing, so higher speeds they do alot better. The lack of torque and super bad reliability i had to get rid of it.
I did make a few friends in the M3 Forums and in person at events and alot of them were really bashing on american cars. There are a few out there so dont get me wrong that are cool but for the most part and my experience they trashed on american cars like they should've never been made. To me i have to go by experience and from my own experience my camaro is super reliable, cheaper to maintain and the amount of torque just makes it hella fun to drive around town without revving it to 8k rpms.

But then, there were the Bimmer-Walks-On-Water folks. It seemed like they got defensive, and had to indirectly justify THEIR choice of car because someone dared mention getting thumped by something that belonged in a trailer park. Let the fanatical LTH/Meth shot comparing, chip tuning, plastic interior begrudging bench racing begin!
Most lost track of the original goal: Just help this guy make his 335i faster.
This, unfortunately, appears to be common, even when not justified. Case in point: I recently had the joy of discussing replacement car options with someone who owned a 3-series that I wanted (to drop an LSx into ). They couldn't afford anything big or crazy, but absolutely wanted nothing to do with an American make. Period. They all sucked. The irony of this was that we were driving around in my G8 at the time, and the BMW was garage-bound with needed repairs. The car I suggested getting? A used Pontiac Vibe - made by Toyota.
Still not good enough.
*sigh*
Again, good kill OP. Next time, take his money along with his pride.

Nice, even though E36's aren't really that fast, Mach 1's are pretty quick, it's really no surprise you were able to walk away from him like that. I love those cars, I would have for sure tried to buy one if they were cheaper.

I actually saw a lot of nice Mach 1's for 12-13k, it was just a little out of my budget though. I could not justify spending more than 10k at the time (back in April) and the Mach 1's for that price had a lot of miles on them, or they were just really ragged out. Me being in college, that just wasn't going to work for a daily driver, so I had to pass on them unfortunately.
If those are your only mods listed in your sig, I can see it being capable of almost knocking on mid 12's if driven properly. Which is awesome for a minor bolt-on/geared car. Hell, that's enough to embarrass a few of those crazy LS1 ego's out there.
