I was on my bike at a local hangout spot and there was a guy pulling out in a blue 5.0. I asked him if he wanted to run and he was down. So I followed him out to the 4 lane highway and he punched it as soon as he turned on with traffic in the far lane so i was stuck behind him playing catchup til he hit the turn around. He kicked it from like 20 and i short shifted first cuz i have a vagina and hate wheelies, but i got him by about 6 or 7 lengths by 120. I wasnt in my car, but it was my first run in with a 5.0 so i thought i would share.

cliff notes.....2006 gsxr 520 conv/slip on > 5.0 20-120 by @ 6 or 7 lengths

How long have you been riding, first gear is your friend and you should have stayed on it up to roughly 60 mph, unless your geared down. I would have thought you would have put a few buses on that car otherwise. I haven't raced a 5.0 yet, but I have raced a z06 and put 2-3 buses on it from a stop to 130.

I have been riding off and on for about 4 years, but i am an average rider at best. Yes my bike is geared down -1+2, so i shifted @ about 11 which is where the front tire starts coming off the ground. (good friend of mine is paralyzed.....long story short i am not a fan of wheelies)

And he said 6 or 7 it was night time and all i saw were headlights in my mirror. And since i cant verify that it was anymore im not brag about it being more.

Its a damn near stock 600 with an average rider at best, not a rocket ship man. I dont know the mods on ur car but my car is awfully close to 600s. I have never beaten one but i lost by about 4 lengths to a 600 with a rider a whole hell of alot better than me, with 2 passengers in the car.

Sorry if i offended anyone by posting my first run in with a 5.0. I was unaware you had to be in an ls1 to have a good time. I race for fun and i dont mind getting my *** kicked and neither did this particular 5.0 owner.

Most of ur fun on a bike is riding with other bikes, and curvy roads. I would prefer the going super fast to be in a car. 600s are quick but not that far out of reach for our cars with a quality setup.
