Every roll race you did you got murdered so bad right off the bat because your letting the car downshift. You need to hold it down in first gear so your already in the powerband and you don't have to wait on the car to downshift. If you would have done this you most likely would have won. An auto can be just as fast if not faster from a roll if you do it right.
This is me against my friends cammed/bolt-on 6-speed trans am.... We go at the same time and I slightly pull on him. He ends up coming around me on the top end, but I held up very well for stock internal.

The shifting sounds quicker than an auto when left in OD, I like that. So doing it that way is pretending like it's a manual then. Just let it rise to 6,000 or so then slap it into 2nd, 6,000 again then slap it into OD?
No adverse affects from doing this on your car, are there?

Be careful when doing the bump shift with the auto LS1 cars they dont shift instantly and you will end up like I did in this race I could have beat both the 03 cobra and the GTO

It's so funny how you manage to get yourself so worked up every time someone disagrees with you! Is that how you go through life? Angry when you don't get your way or someone disagrees? Wow. Anyway, to answer your question, I do own a fast car, or rather, a few. I own a 94 mustang, a 2009 mustang gt/cs with a few mods, an '86 I-ROC Z28, and before this year is up, my hubby and I are purchasing a 2010 mustang 5.0. SUCK IT, BITCH!
Anyone else see anything very wrong with this comment?

Let me be the one to break the ice, and I'm sorry to temporarily change the topic of the thread.
1. A 1994 Mustang (didn't specify GT, Cobra, V6) is slow by today's standards, very slow actually.
2. A 2009 Mustang GT/CS is just an appearance packaged GT, 315HP. They are quick alright, but not outright fast. And plenty of stock LS1's can take these cars.
3. A 1986 Camaro Z28 is slow as *****...IROC or not.
4. 2010 Mustang 5.0? They didn't exist yet...not until 2011. You could buy them in 2010, but they were the 2011 models. What an idiot, sorry you have people like that on your page NiteRider.

i'm pretty sure, without a shift kit, at wot the car will shift when it wants to, regardless of when you move the selector from 1 to 2 or whatever. i think all you can do is hold it in gear longer (if it is short shifting). i guess you could manually put it in first, floor it and then shift to 2nd @ like 3k and see if it shifts when you do. been awhile since i've had an a4 car haha. i installed a shift kit in mine 3 days after i bought it.
either way, no at car making the same power as a mn car is going to keep up with it. a stall will def soften the blow and in some instances damn near even the match, but you can't argue with a direct mechanical connection vs a fluid-type. stalls will only delay the more powerful car from coming around.

Yes that is correct. Plust the rpm tach is not really that accurate in these cars. When you shift out of first you want to shift at about 5,000 rpm's and than just shift up into d for the rest of the race. You don't have to manually shift through all the gears you just want to make sure you hold it in gear from a roll race so your car doesn't have to downshift. Same if you go from say a 55 roll you want to hold it in 2nd gear....

Yes, because I noticed if you shift it to quick, it shifts to early for some reason. Idk why, but it did that in both my lt1 camaro and this one. Go try it out and let me know what you think after that
