Part of the reason why the C6 coupe was able to keep up or be a tad faster, probably has to do with weight. I know the GS weighs more than a C6 coupe (100-200lbs maybe). The GS has heavier breaks, wheels, tires, etc. And, what was the weight of the drivers/passengers of each car?
How much gas did each car have?
How was it from a dig?

I thought with full bolt ons as well they usually run 430-440rwhp as far as the LS3's. The LS2's are usually 390-400rwhp full bolt ons but who knows in the end the LS2 did a great job and it sounds amazing.

Strange, my Dad is looking to upgrade from his bolt-on '07 Z51 to a new Grand Sport very soon, I showed him that video and he was kind of surprised. I always thought myself that a GS with bolt-on's and a tune would be in almost stock Z06 territory.

Ive driven both LS2 and LS3 vettes to me there isnt a huge difference in power at all even though i know the LS3 is faster stock to stock. The kick when it initially accelerates is a tad better and has a little better top end but to a normal joe it will be very hard to tell. My friend who has driven both sometimes has a hard time saying that the LS3 is noticably faster but i know better that the LS3 is faster of the 2. I guess this scenario with these 2 cars could've been a bit different never know how well the GS was tuned and just dont know how well a particular car responds to mods, there are small differences that can add up. Either way in this case the LS2 did great and he drove it great as well.

Looks like in gear the gs was pulling for the most part, but dropped a little during shift. Wasn't horrible shifting though. Is the gs catted still? It seems like anytime I left cats on my cars it sufficated them for a good amount of HP.
