I can promise you that mustang doesn't make mid 300s. I've beat lighter cars making more power on this exact setup.

i can promise you i know what it can and cant make FI(if its stock heads/cam/intake). and 6psi is getting into the choke zone of most 70mm turbos on such a low flowing motor. there are a few tuners who can make a Windsor motored 01+ Gt live at bigger power levels, but it still takes boost to do it.

what you are saying is, a motor which flows about 26 pounds per minute at 14.7psia, now flows about 55-60 pounds per minutes at 1.63 pressure ratio or 9psig.

the VE of that motor is only in the 85percent range. really? i say it again he was running it all out. it could still win, but it doesnt make 475rwhp at 9psi.

I just met the guy and I'm just telling you all what he told me. I'm going to try to setup a 3 wide race, me vs the mustang vs a similarly modded fbody. Hopefully next weekend.

Without telling us anything at all other then showing some crappy videos then waiting to inflame an argument is trolling, period. You could have avoided this, and you know it, by just telling us pertinent information like that there was 3 people in the fbody versus 1 in the stang for 1. hell, telling us what year cars involved, what size cam, how much rwhp, etc. and even, oh my gosh, telling us what car is doing the filming in the first vid and who actually won when we cant see anything!

Just throwing videos out there and trying to get into a argument is trolling pure and simple. Lucky I aint a mod, because I'd give you one strike towards a ban for that kind of crap.

this guy is mad for sure

How can you possibly complain about a turbo mustang beating an N/A engine?

What's so hard to believe?

It is a 2V Mustang. We all know those run mid 14's stock. Ask 'Irunelevens'

Ok I was mistaken on the other guys mods, his car has an MS3, ported 243's, BBK intake manifold and made 425 whp. Should be interesting. I'm hoping I'm right and you all have to admit that a 2v moves out. Would be entertaining to see.

Oh my goodness, some of the **** in this thread. It's funny and its unbelievable how stupid some of the assumptions are. It has to be a lack of knowledge of other cars/motors. Whoever thinks a 2v modular isn't able to make 475whp @ 9psi turbo'd, simply doesn't understand. It's plain and simple. The horsepower range for a turbo'd 2v at 9psi can be wide. Of course it all depends on the engine mods and the turbo setup. The same goes for other engines. All the assumptions and unbelievable BS is just nonsense, and plain ignorant.

OP, there isn't a damn thing wrong with your thread or that turbo 6psi 2v Mustang beating the cammed T/A. Anyone that calls some sort of BS and make retard assumptions without knowing a f#cking thing about specific details, can just hold their breath because you don't know ****.

the power range for any motor is based on its flow in lb-minute before a turbo is added. if ti flows 25-28 lb-min at 0 psi of boost, it simply cannot exceed the flow in ratio to the pressure ratio. period.

if that same motor has ported heads, big turbo cams, etc and flows ~33 lb-minute it still can only:

cubic inches: 281
ambient pressure 14.7
11.5:1 a/f ratio
110 degree IAT's
90% VE
bsfc .55

it calculates to 446 crank hp. 46.91 lb-minute flow. at 6200 rpms.

thats with a killer 2v to start with, not a stock motor. it would take 15psi for that killer motor to make 550 crank hp.

call me whatever you like. the calculations dont lie.

a fully forged motor with aftermarket TFS heads will alter the boost a little. ~12psi

Mods list on the Mustang. My ricer math puts his race weight around 3400 lbs to my 4100lbs. No wonder he pulled.

~130 pound weight reduction (UPR tubular K, A arms, removal of crap i didnt need), Full bolt-ons --> Professional products 70MM TB/ ported Plenum/ ported Typhoon intake manifold, Home made Single Turbo Setup i made myself with 2.5 & 3 piping with 70MM Turbo, Borla Exhaust, Tial Wastegate/BoV, Ebay Intercooler, billet aluminum flywheel, Stock gears, hallman boost controller. 10.5 DR's out back. Made 475 on 9# of boost, and over 530ft-lb. This video I was running 6 pounds
