The GTO should make about 400whp with full exhaust and tune. I have a friend with a full exhaust and tuned GTO with a 150 shot making 539whp and 574wtq so I am thinking It should be real close to 400whp with just tune and exhaust. Have not seen the dyno on it, on motor tune.

You aren't seriously saying you think advertised horsepower is at the real wheels are you???? The SAE manufacturer numbers are taken at the engines crank, with full intake and exhaust plumbing attached. IE, the horsepower that is transmitted into the transmission. The transmission, driveline, rearend all eat up alot of power. It's why two trucks with the same rated hp engine, a 1/2 ton will always beat a 3/4 or 1 ton: the heavier driveline eats up too much power.

mustang needs either A) new tuner or B) new setup
cause he ruined his.. that should've ended bad if all else equal given mods v mods. pathetic showing for the mustang. I have seen the new 5.0's running stupid fast mph at the track with minimal mods and one with just a converter and exhaust mid 11's so i have to wonder what's wrong with that one? one race he came around mid 4th, the other, the GTO almost looked like it was pulling in 4th? what gives? passenger change?

No, 4th gear was acting up and on some runs would not engage. In that race the driver took his time making sure it would.

Yea the going slow into 4th was to make sure i got it in. I was having trouble with 4th high rev shift so i had to granny shift and even then it was hard to go in. But now i changed my fluid and its wrkn properly but dnt kno how long. Fluid gets nasty pretty quik
