A guy wanted to set-up some friendly races with his new set-up on his 2011 5.0. Both cars have a passenger. Sorry guys this was from a iphone at night, I did the best I could.

The Mustang- Boss Intake, Kooks LT's, ORX, Magnaflow catback, Dyno tune.

Ls2 gto- full exaust, tune

Dig race 0-130ish



Roll race 25-130ish



They raced six times with the end result being the same gto having the edge until 4th gear when 5.0 started to have a slight pull. All filmed in mexico.

Filming is terrible but was still able to make it out lol. I thought the 5.0 would give a better performance then that. Good ****.

Yea I know, thanks. I made sure the headlights of the stan would stay in view for best judgement. Ill be uploading some more vids when I have time. I have some with my newest car against my friends fully built 2v saleen, a 370z,turbo civic,etc....

I would rather have a GTO over a Camaro but I highly dislike the body.

Mustang should be a solid ~420rwhp car with those mods. I can't see a tune/exhaust ls2 gto that may make ~350rwhp keeping up or beating the 5.0. Was the 5.0 an auto?

Um... 6spd LS2 GTO's make 345-355whp bone stock. Full exhaust/tune could easily net 380-390whp.

The new 5.0 has been an internet video queen on the dyno and at the track. But when you put it on the street vs "slower" cars, it never lives up to expectations.
