If you run 117mph a bolt on LS1 isnt going to have a chance. Now if you call a bolt on LS1 nitrous, supercharger, turbo because you can bolt those on then maybe different but LT's and other reg stuff aint going to come close to a 117mph, with my bolt ons motor only ill be lucky to run a 111-112mph and i know others with less power might run that and dispute it but traction, driver has alot to do with it as well. You have a good set up Kerns, nice ride and my message wasnt directed to you or anyone just general.

If he plans on keeping the stock motor for awhile
1 3/4 Longtubes, 3800ish lockup converter, and 4.30s
Would make that 2v fly. It would take more then a cam and longtubes to keep up that is for sure.

I'm gonna agree/disagree with both sides here.
Real street bolt on ls1s in the 11s are rare.
Real street 2vs in the 11s are rare.
Take your "look what this gutted tin can car" did garbage and discuss it with the Civic kids, they can relate...it's the only way they get out of the 14s so you can be their new God.

The guy I ran in this vid has a very low 12 car as it sits with a 1.8 60'. A stall and gears would definitely land him high 11s with traction. Then theres Kerns. Thats two right there. It isnt that hard. Hell, a guy namef Greddy on MF is running 12.1 at 111 with full bolt ons, tires, 4.10s, 3800 stall, and a 125 shot. Not bad for basic mods.... I'd imagine a 150 would put him well into the 11s. Full weight cars.

Get in it turn the ac on, set the cruise and drive it then. This the 21 century, no need to go with out that stuff. Besides, you posted a car that is'nt even yours. Did you even pay any attention to the car....drive that bitch over a speed bump. More than likely on race gas too, again not very street able.

Cars don't go fast, money does.
I go with out that stuff on choice, when I can I get manual everything. Less things to go wrong, and free weight loss. I have an lt1, I need all the help I can

Whats with all the 2 valve hate??? Spend some money and they can go fast.
This silver one n/a is pretty damn fast!! Mid 12s. Red SC MR2 is mine and another car to bust Cobranotch with

Agreed^^ Whats with all the 2V hate? We all know they fall behind mod for mod, but I'd say plenty of them have more than proven themselves. All cars take money to go fast, some just need a tad more than others, thats all.

I could be an example of "money can make a 2v fast," lol. I know they aren't the greatest starting point but it isn't rocket science in getting it done. I've always enjoyed the lsx crowd undermining my car.
At a meet one evening a guy with a mid 11 second ls1 was looking for a race. Since no one seemed too interested I stepped up. I told them my setup (200 shot at the time) and everyone thought I was gonna get killed? Needless to say they were surprised when I walked away from him, lol.

Not trying to argue with you, but 2Vs are terrible up top. It took that KB for him to pull away like that. He's a friend of mine though, so we sat around awhile afterwards and discussed the runs. He never let off until he was at 130 mph. He was a little let down that he didn't pull me much harder. Also posted over on the Mustang Forum that he will never buy and mod another 2V as long as he lives. I honestly felt bad that he was not satisfied with it after spending so much to get it where it is. Here's a vid of he and I racing about a year and a half ago when he was NA. I was in my S197 with 4.10s, Intake, tune, and pulleys. That S197 trapped 108 just like my current LS1 does, so its a pretty good comparison to show just how much that KB did for him.

Now you have. Slow track, stock wheels, full interior and jack in the car. Easy with an a4. Car went tad faster at Cecil. I have beaten blown 2 valves with bolt ons but some had higher traps than me

mine required losing the 2v to be faster. mid 12's loses to most well modded fbody's.
