Wouldn't u be able to tell in the video or in person if he gutted the cats? Usually smells different. As far as the other mods only way to tell is to take off the coupling to the tb and take a pic or look at it

 

my C6z made 45Xwhp stock with a c.a.i, cat back, tb and intake ported(I ported them) with a great tune I made 48x, with the cats off I beat he is looking at a 49xwhp car.

 

95% of your gain came from the tune.

 

Slovette has a 434 inch stroker motor, and he is running 13.5 to 1 compression and alcohol. Of course the injectors were replaced and set up for alcohol, but he used a rubber stamp to put the original factory part number on them. The exhaust manifolds are extrude honed, and the cam has an extra 15 degrees of duration, but idles smooth due to the big cubes. He's got 7 or 8 grand in the project but picks up a 100 bucks now and then street racing. Just kidding folks, cus I don't know what the fascination with this one street car is???? But it is fun reading the banter.

 

He's just upset because Slowvette has beaten a few Vipers. Evidently 10 cylinders is supposed to be better than 8.

You defiently dont post a big frontal view picture of your car with the words "intake only" at the beginnings of your raceing videos.

 

While I don't like it when people hold mods back you can't say that this is anything new. It's like saying your cam/supercharged/nitrous car is just bolt-ons. If you ever get in a money race with someone you don't know and this happens to you then I suggest you pick up a copy of the street racer's rule book to making a quick buck.

In my mind when someone says intake, they mean intake manifold. Back when I was working on carborated 350s, it used to drive me nuts when all the ricers would say they have an intake and all they had was an aluminum tube.

 

How about you pay slowvette to take apart his car, have the cam doctored, blah blah blah, etc. etc. if you care sooooo much about him and his car? If he lies, but who cares. If not, who cares? While I prefer honesty, people like to be sneaky in this game. I know a couple people myself who like to leave details out if you don't ask the right questions...or blatantly lie.....but that's their prerogative, so who gives a ****?! You act like you lost a lot of money to the guy.
