Maybe your fuel pump is going bad, or you have a clogged fuel filter. Mine got progressively slower as the pump died. I had an uncomfortably close run with a stock '08 280whp Mustang, and I was baffled.

I wasn't actually referring to you, but we all have our days.

Is it worth swapping the heads from a newer 4V onto a 96-98 Cobra? A guy around here was talking about doing that someday and I'm curious what kind of gains they see.

Yes its worth it. Gains would be at peak but more noticeable gains under the curve. I would have done it years ago but I'm the type of guy that thinks a car should retain its original engine. The motor I'm building will still use my existing heads and intake. Hopefully should run 10.90's n/a at 124ish.

I changed the fuel filter out about 1,000 miles ago. The car does have a little over 119,000 miles on it, but it still fells and pulls strong when I have traction. The fuel pump will be replaced in the near future.
