Modding the dd gets addictive, ask me how I know! LOL.

Local guy runs 17" 10 spokes on his G8 FWIW. DRs are cheaper for 17s than 18s, so it might be worth looking into.

I was going to get a 17" out back and the same wheel in a 19" up front for a unique look, but I can't find a drag radial that's the proper height in a 17. Nitto makes an 18" 555 drag radial that's perfect.

Whatever I get I want the same wheel design front and back as I'm not only putting the drag radials on to run at the track. If I can find an 18" wheel that looks very similar to the stock wheels then I might get a set of 2 for now. Similar to how the 2009+ CTS-V guys get polished C5Z wheels out back.

The G8 has a 2.92 ring and pinion right? When I saw you start walking up top all I could say was daaaaaaaaaaaammmmmnnn. Nice, clean runs. I'd probably start saving for boost if I owned the Mustang.

C6 Z06 Spyders would look good on a G8, and come in 17, 18 and 19.

What widths are availabe? I think I need an 18x8 for the front and an 18x9 or 18x9.5 out back.

Poor N/A 3V, time for boost. I wouldn't waste any time going N/A with that engine.

I somewhat agree... Not to take away from the g8 but that 3v was a turd for a bolt-on cam car.

That's not a bad idea. I was hoping to go with a Nitto drag radials rather than an MT due to tire wear, but I bet I can get a couple stock 18" wheels cheap.

Keep in mind it probably has the most mild cams you can get. Don't think of it as a "bolt-on/cam" car, think of it as a "bolt-on/hotrod cam" car.

As for not trying to take away from the G8, no worries there. I have proven numbers on the track and on the dyno, so whether I get beat by a stock 2V GT or smoke a supercar with a bad driver, my car is what it is

I honestly have never seen a cam car that wasn't a turd. I love the new GT's....I owned one so I know they are great cars, but they just don't make power without nitrous or a blower. Who in thier right mind would spend $800 on cams and then have to deal with that monkey mess of an engine and timing chain set up for 340 RWHP? I know I sure as hell wouldn't LOL. They sound bad *** cammed, and I respect anyone that wants to try to make power all motor, but there are easier and better ways to do it. My brothers old 3 valve with a tiny little roush blower made 405 RWHP at 6 PSI...stock manifolds, stock exhaust too.

And they really don't look 'that' different then the sport 19's. Im planning on picking up some TSW Nurbugrings in 18 next year, if the stock 18s cleared my brembos Id be all over it.

Op nice runs man. You car does run hard!
Crazy why he would choose those cams. Comp make the Thumper and ***** Thumper cams that wakes the 3valve up a little more. If you have to go into the motor, better to just put the good stuff in so you don't regret it later... and those Comp cams sound awesome.

good runs, i definitely did not expect the g8 to pull. given those gears, it goes to show how much tq that thing really makes.

i've seen a couple 3v bolt-on cars at irp trap 107-109. i expected with his mods that he would easily pull you. that g8 is def healthy.
