Stock 2009 viper vs 2012 gtr with 100 awhp over stock
#25
I've seen much worse lately, but yes, he did short shift the first gear he was in by at least a couple thousand RPMs, appeared to shift quite poorly, and could have tucked much closer to the tank to possibly run even with the GT-R. That's a 2007/2008 ZX-6R which is the slowest and least powerful 600 made in the last 5+ years. A slip-on exhaust without a tune does little to affect power and they are likely only trapping high 120s (while the GT-R supposedly traps 131) at low 11s even with a good rider. It's true almost all fuel injected 600s in the last 10 years can hit 10s including this one, but this is probably the least likely to. They are light, flickable bikes on the track (I've done California Superbike School levels 1+2 on them) but they are truly gutless and even feel slow when winding them out to 13k. Put that GT-R against a new ZX-6R (or any other 600) and it could be a whole other story.

Anyone who says that GTR "raped" the viper is a idiot. It beat it, sure enough, but if a loss by a car length is a "raping" then what would you call what I do to most cars I run? "**** Fisting"?

There was no raping at all. Dont be idiots.... the STOCK viper hung with the modded GTR quite well... He did lose, but no rape

The GT-R is making the power posted. The shop that built the car posted all of the dyno sheets on NAGTROC. Also just because a handful of stock Gen IV Vipers trap 131mph doesn't mean they all do. They average about 129mph.

I think some are butt hurt that a STOCK Viper can run that close to a 2012 GTR with a 100whp over stock.

I think as well the viper did well and didnt get pulled on bad like some have stated. Most people dont understand within just those few seconds how fast they are going and at the speeds they reached viper wasnt that far behind but either way lost which is the end result and thats what counts. Bad*ss GTR though too bad i dont have enough power some in my area that i see that look bad ***.

Stock for stock atthe drag strip the GTR wins on ET all day. Cause of its AWD. What are 2012 GTR's trapping stock? Isn't it mid-high 120's?

If they average 129 I guarantee you more than a "handful" have trapped 130-131 in stock trim. Saw two different cars do it on the same night back in '09. It's not that far fetched for a 3400# car making 550rwhp to do that.

Also 2012 GT-Rs make 480whp stock so 555whp is not 100whp over stock genius.
