stock beating modded?
stock beating modded? i did a 40 roll with my buddy in his 2000 camaro and we stayed right next to each other and i could see slowly me pulling away after 3rd.. how is this?
both 6 speed, good driver.. heres what i got and what he has

ls1 (116k all stock cept for slp lid and 241 heads)
stock exhaust into a magnaflow or flowmaster catback with 3'' quads
new oem clutch
ram air hood
crappy filter
him
ls1 (135k on tsp pcm tune slp lid and intake with K&n filter)
new stage 2 clutch
longtubes
tsp true duals
new o2 sensors also
fresh tune up all new plugs and fliters
idk how but we stayed at the same and i slowly pulled barely then we let off hes 160 lbs im 225 lbs idk how but this confused me

1) he can't drive aka takes longer between shifts
2) he started in a higher gear than you
3) something is mechanically wrong with his car and not running full power/on all cylinders

im just trying to understand he should have easily walked and i agree about the track that was only for kicks because he wanted to see how fast the new car was.. if theres anything in the engine thats hidden performance what do u think it could be?

your buddy has headers an duals where you have a catback. other than that, he only has a tune on you. i dont see where he should have "walked" you anyways. With the mods listed, he would have a slight advantage, but its just comes down to the drivers.

pulling heads off to upgrade lifters ill check it out but i still have egr? and it doesnt look likes its been messed with besides the heads and intake have been taken off
It could also be as simple as different tire pressure, tire age, model/brand, size, ......The list can go on-and-on.

My Trans Am had the exact same mods(taken off 1 car and installed on the other) as my Z28.
The ONLY mods the Z28 has that the Trans Am didn't is a converter and a tune.
Trans Am trapped 106 and the Z traps 112.
