Dont even get me started on some of the local vette owners... They think it will melt if you leave it in the sun or if it gets rained on. My Z06 has been "ruined" because of all the mods I did to it (its not stock anymore) according to them too.

Not all are like that, its usually just the ones who buy corvettes just to say they own a corvette.

Anyways, well done. And I agree with some of the statements above about how some vette owners suck. lol

Camaro 94 i daily drive mine in rain or shine. Bet they would hate that. Lol. Some vette owners do suck, but not all of us. Thats why i get so tired of all of the vette owner comments. You dont see me saying all gt500 owners are pompus a%% holes even though every single one i have ever met thinks they have the fastest car on the road. Needless to say the look on their face when i beat them in my lt1 car was priceless. Haha

Explain how a corvette is the best bang for your buck?

I was being sarcastic. I love vettes. Hell im the creater of the stock c5 list over on the corvette forum.

I liked how my vette looked handled and acelerated.

The only problem I have with vettes is that it dosent get the credit it deserves because they make so many of them. The 50k base vette looks just like the 65k z51 vette wick looks just like the 78k z06 wich looks like the 110k zr1. To the average person a 45k base 400hp ls2 from 2005 is the same car as the 2012 115k zr1.

So since everyones seen 9 vettes this weekend when you park it next to low end exotics/supercars that are in the same 90-120k range the vette disapears. Not because that car is better than the vette. But because its rarely seen.

Only problem I ever had with vette ownership was that.. The"its just a vette" phrase that many people would say when a nsx viper lambo ptt ect was parked nearby. Not even realizing that the its just a vette car they are referring to is a fully optioned 98k z06 that runs mid 11s at 125 mph and the ring in 7.22. To the 98% of the public who dosent visit boards like this its just a vette. Kool car to them but not held in as high reguard as a slow nsx or kit car like noble ect.

If you dont care about that or attention than the vette has to be the best car out there for the money.

Im with you. Back when the z06 was 55k and kicking the worlds azz i thought it was the best bang for your buck. Even when the z06 c6 came out in 06 for 67k it was a deal. But now at 80-98k for a z06 or 50-70k for ls3s and 100k plus for zr1s. Best bang for your buck is probally with the new 5.0 mustangs.

Stock for stock C6Z's are by far the best bang for your buck IMO. But if all you want is something to take out on the weekends to race on the street or strip as far as LSX cars go F-body takes the "best bang for your buck" argument, easily.

i agree with you 100% my friends dad has a Z06 god bless him he let me take it out for a cruise around the 'block' i am in LOVE with this vette. Power, torque, acceleration, and the handling wow.

but yes usually with owning a corvette comes the cockyness. no not everyone that owns one is cocky. last car show i was at met 10 vette owners i would say all but 2 were complete aholes.

LOL I'm a Corvette owner and think most Corvette owners are cocky douche bags that suck. Camaro 94 is right on the money with his assessment where guys with vettes are afraid that their cars will melt in a little bit of rain. It was funny when I told the guys at the local group that I put a supercharger under the hood of mine LOL!!!!

Oh and one other thing, I'm cocky as ****.

While we are bashing vette owners here's and old one. What's the difference between a vette and a porcupine.........?

On a porcupine the ****** are on the outside. :-)

Thats very debateable if your over 6' 200lbs. They serve one purpose and thats it and they do it well however, but they are not practical at all for anyone that can only have one car or likes to buy things at stores and get them home.

Honestly the only cocky vette owners I see are when they are around camaros mustangs and other 20-40k cars.

When you see them at a cars and coffee event they are usually the humblest of the owners. Porshe owners tend to be the ******. As well as bmw owners.

Only thing worse than cocky Vette owners is kill stories that start with "just leaving from the gym" comment.

The funniest part is if you ever read the Vette forums those guys always begin their stories with "leaving the gym" comments.

Ok, you workout and just left the gym. You're so cool and just a badass.
