2012 Charger SRT8 vs 2011 5.0 and Whipple 07 GT

with the weight difference alone stoppy it equals out alot. Dont laugh to hard, you have to look at the entire picture your car weighs 3400ish his has to be 1000 heavier. Thus explains high hp lower et
#203
My car weighs less
I have gears
I launch too hard
I have sticky tires
My rear wheels aren't stock size
What else am I missing that should be in the excuse pile?
#204
get your head out of your ***! I said nothing about your times! In fact didnt I predict them within a .1? I was sayin dont laugh at a peak number and his e.t. look at the whole pic. Thats what a land yought with 400 hp should run. You two should be a good run from dig
#207
You said many times earlier that those were excuses as to why your car ran what it did. Then you took my unrelated ccomment and threw it in that bs. You know as well as I do mopar sucks but this one in question would give you a good run
#208
That's alot of twisting and turning there.

uncracked ecus and them putting a engine that makes good power in such a heavy chassis. But they have done the same dumb **** since the heavy 60s cars. And stopy you foolowed it so must not have been so twisty turny lol
#212
They put a powerfull engine in a full size car with every option and can still keep up with the 5.0's, beat the SS and do mid 12's. Not a rat trap. Theres a lot of people that wish theyd make a scaled down, no power windows or seats, cheap light leather seats, etc challenger to lower the weight a bunch and their smart *** answer to that has been "buy a drag pak". But theres rumors on an ACR challenger being made with a 6.4 engine in pretty much base model challenger and sub 3800 lbs. Should be intetesting.

Although the Dodge srt8 looks better than it used to, it's still the same old over priced 20 inch rim candidate its always been. The Camaro and the Stang are better looking and are cheaper in price and to mod than the Dodge.

Thats all an opinion, I would never look twice at any 5.0. The Challenger, Charger, 300 and Camaro are all better looking then the 5.0 IMO. And I wouldn't say its over priced these cars have just about every feature one could ever want in a all around enjoyable car.

I was sitting in my RT tonight outside of work and 2 dudes got out of a new 5.0 and walked by and said "i dont care if its 4 doors, this cars still ******* hot". I started it up and said, "it goes too". Talked to them for a few and found out the dude with the 5.0 just ordered a blower for his, or so he says, for over the winter. I never expect people to say stuff about my car because it looks 100% stock but, some people do like them a lot.

I wouldnt go that far, the 392's fastest stock time is faster then the 5.0, there isn't any tuning out right now for the 392. Once we see what full bolt ons and a tune does thats still up in the air. Keep in mind the 392 was detuned to 470hp from 525hp because of emissions. There will be big gains with a tune and CAI. Back when the 6.1 came out Livernois gained 35+rwhp with just a tune and CAI.

Funny you said that because I said those exact words in a convo with my dad about a week ago. The fact that a used Z06 with less then 20K miles can be had for under 40K its a hard decision for me on what I will go with this time. Not to mention SRT10 vipers are in the same price.
