Default G8 vs C5 Vette vs 2010 Camaro

had some good runs this past friday at Royal Purple Raceway; only 2 races worth mentioning, me(G8) vs c5 Vette vs 2010 Camaro
cant seem to get out of the 11.80's .. little more tuning on the 6L80E and i think it will do the trick.
i know what the Camaro had, just wish i knew what the vette was running; cant even hear my car over that beast ..
here is the vid, Enjoy

mods on G8? Sticky street tires I assume, or are they DR's? Nice runs and love them G8's!

nitto nto5r DR's, been good to me so far .. however, everyone keeps praising the MT Streets so i think i will give them a try in the next few months with the expectations of dropping that 60ft a little lower
mods are as listed in the video. still on stock exhuast, stock tq converter, etc .. would love to pick up the American Racing Headers 1 7/8'' exhaust but i am leaning towards peripherals next; trans cooler, catch can, possibly a line lock.. who knows

sorry for the pic, pretty bad .. this one should be easier to read

vette sounds like a bolt-on stalled auto car.

nice runs. it looks like your g8 would be going low 13s @ 105ish on motor?

mt et street DRs are an amazing tire. i used them on my bolt-on a4 car with a 3700rw and stock suspension (4k stall) i managed to go 1.60 60' many times. even with a bent tq arm haha.

I'd highly recommend you get at least airbags for the rear, or better yet drag springs/bags. Set your psi in the 15-20 pound range and you will be good to go with hard launches. Those IRS setups like we got squat too hard and the contact patch of the tire goes from flat to inward biased.

OP your exhaust is holding you back alot didnt realize you had it on. our exhaust with its little choke points and cats restrict our engines breathing so much. esp the cats. i bet with headers and exhaust if anything gutted cats. you will pickup 3-4 mph

havent run motor at the track for some time now, but that would be a fair estimate i would imagine. to addictive to turn off.. i am pretty sure the MT's will be my next set of DR's after all the testimony i have heard

Havent considered bags for the G8, was leaning towards a koni/eibach set up for track/daily use .. used that set up on old dsm's all the time but those were 15+ year old cars. cant argue with your logic, the learning never ends. thanks for the advice!

G8 has a coil over style spring/strut setup I dont think bags would work.

go with pacesetter. the ARH's get maybe 1-2 more rwhp. 300-400 dollars vs 1700.. pretty sure the 1000 plus dollars would make up for any minuscule loss in power between the two

just from personal experiance, i took pacesetter off my list of products to purchase.. i am considering kooks though, i understand the craftsmanship is on par with ARH; i am sure tons of people have had good luck with pacesetter but i think i am going to avoid them and use the old antage of "do it right, or do it twice" for peace of mind
i appreciate the suggestion though man
