I agree with this. I do believe it takes a lil more skill to run equivilant numbers with a 5th gen.

3.45s is what a gen 5 m6 comes with. The autos have 3.27's

actually im not at all mad i "cant" have one. i simply chose not to become like every other conformist and buy a 5th gen. instead i bought my 79 vette and chose to use the extra money to build it up. and yes my ls1 is a bolt on, and of course i think my full bolt on cammed ls1 is fast, no im not about to run 10's and leave a skyline in the dust, but there is such a thing as being fast and not running tens. for all your "15 years racing time" and your "self claimed extensive knowledge of racing" you should know this. im not saying the 5th gens look like ***. you know what they look alright, but i just like not having something everybody and there grandma has which is why i bought and built my vette.

but you know most importantly last time i checked a 5th gen ss ran 13.0 in the quarter. last i checked a 4th gen ls1 ss also ran 13.0 in the quarter.
AND last i checked ive seen twice in person a stock-stock race of a 5th gen and a 4th gen and the 4th won by 3-4 feet. so no way your "puppy kicking" bolt on ls1's. either you got a factory freak or your full of ****. im more likely to think the second option. as well as everyone here.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but when I had my ls6 cts-v with an intake and catback I put about 3 lengths on a 5th gen ss from 60-130. You have to remember the v's came with the more agressive m12 trans gears and a 3.73 rear end gear.
