Well i just got my car last Tuesday and on Saturday i had my first race. Was driving around my hometown, and saw some guy in a Mustang. Looked weird to me, get up close to it and see it is a Bullit. Not sure what that means, but anyway. I follow him out of town, he turns down this road which has a curve i am behind him in 2nd following fairly close. The road starts to straighten, by that time my rpms are getting up there in 2nd. Soon as the road straightens i go out beside him. When i do this i pull up next to him and just nail it. I don't think he was racing because i just blew by him like he was sitting still. So i slow down for him to catch up and he does the ricer flyby. I was doing like 20mph when he did this. I pull up beside him and find out i actually know the kid. I ask him if he wants to go somewhere and go through a 1/4. He obliges. We ended up going from like a roll , i forget what speed, but i was still in first so it couldn't have been that high. Dam was my adrenaline pumping. We just paced each other until we reached this sign then both hit it. I immediately started pulling. Didn't hardly spin at all , i don't think anyway. Hit 2nd good, i was a little slow on getting into 3rd. 4th was easy and by the end, i think i had put like 4-5 cars on him. I let off a little towards the end cause there is a hump in the road , i was already going fast , so i should have just kept it hammered. Anyhow, i pull over and tell him nice run, he was cool about it. He then says "i thought you would have beaten me worse then that". I thought i would too. Maybe it was because i had 2 other guys with me in my car and he was alone. Told me to race him in a month. He said he is doing some basic stuff to it, didn't go into much detail on what he meant by that. I asked him if he knew anyone else who would race, and he has a friend with a 99 Cobra, which he said would beat me, because it would smoke him. Cobra is stock also. I didn't even tell him he was wrong. I just smiled and said. "Call him up." He said he would , met him back in town and he told me he could never get a hold of him. Oh well. Maybe some other time. Car was a 2001 Mustang Bullit , 5speed btw. My car is 2001 Camaro SS, M6 bone stock.

Nice kill!!!! Sounds like you may need a few mods in the future......remember you must stay 1 step(or car length's) ahead of the competition..lol

 

The Bullitt is a GT w/ 5 extra hp, wheels, shift ****, guages, and no spoiler. Nothing much, nice kill by the way. I wouldn't try a Mach 1 just yet though, get some mods first.

LOL. That would suck. Hopefully by the next time i see him, i will have some LT's and a few other mods.
