$50k for a used Saleen that can't keep up with a bolt on LS1 despite being supercharged? WTF!! Now i know why the new 5.0 owners are so excited

350-360rwhp is about what the average full bolt-ons LS1 puts down(Lid, Headers, Exhaust, Tune). People usually swap in a cam before going with a Fast intake.

Im not doubting you but it seems like a couple years ago they would be around the 340-345 area. Has the tuning really got that much better? Frost must be the man.

stock ls1's used to dyno in the 290's with a handful in the low 300rwhp range. Now 310rwhp seems to be average. LT1's used to dyno 240rwhp now its 255rwhp. Mustangs seem to be dynoing more than they used to as well.

Any evidence to support your theory? I dont see too many guys claiming that much out of their stock LS1's. Maybe a few here and there but definitely not "average".

The SLP-optioned cars will surely make around that number (lid/cat-back).

I had my SS dynoed at a local place for free. My mods at the time were lid, Magnaflow catback and all current suspension mods (which don't make a difference) and it got 315rwhp. I don't remember the tq. but that was also with a dead MAF which it was also pinging (lean) above 4k RPM.

First off, good god there's a lot of folks in the north eastern states that occasionally cruise around Mexico. How do you guys do it???

Second, why in the hell was this thread started? Or, why in the hell would someone claim they were trying to race a 360whp car in the rain? Is it to inform as many people as possible how stupid of ideas one has?

I couldn't help but flame this foolishness.

On the flip side, Mach 1's will continue to have trouble reaching 310rwhp with FULL bolt-ons...
