Well lets assume your car make in the neighborhood of 330-340 rwhp (ford guy guessing ls1 numbers not good) and from 60 to 120 you put 4.5 cars on him. Just a guess says he is around 290-300 rwhp which would put him on par with a bolt on 05-10 gt and i dont think a 2v gt would keep it anywhere near that close with you. I bet that mustang would have been a decent race for the vette with the vette pulling a couple cars in the 60-120 race. Thats my completely unverified no baseline of facts stone guess math.

HCI LS1's can range anywhere from 400rwhp to 470rwhp depending on the heads and the cam. You've been trolling LS1 tech long enough and you should know this by now. lol

also last i checked 430 rwhp> 308 rwhp lol, I think he could be the one having fun with you. Not sure what logic you stang guys use before talking smack, but someone had to check you.

Not really....he's scratchin his almost bald head wondering if he can keep up with a bolt-on ls6......lmao!

The fox notch I weighed with a tube k, no ac, skinnies and aluminum heads was 29xx. He did have some extra junk in his car but not alot.

I have no probs with it. Add a Whipple/KB/ Vortech and/or N2O and your set. Engine is good to ~900hp with the weak point being the pistons. I dont see why its a bad choice? Please elaborate.

I have no problem with it dude...lighten up.

Typical ford guy you are....well if I do this , this and this and I'm good......'cause no one else can mod up. 900 hp is a little steep....there has been plenty let go @ less than 650.

I've often wondered how the 4 eyed cars were lighter than the aero cars. I've owned both and know that the 4 eyed cars have more metal in them where the aero cars have more plastic.

smaller brakes, smaller 7.5 rear except 86s had 8.8. less quarter glass, smaller mouldings, dash is lighter, no radio amplifier.even the seats are lighter alot of little stuff over looked.

Do the tq boxes break up on the sn95 cars as bad as they do on the foxes? If not there may be some reinforcing metal there.
