If you practice your driving you should do considerably better. Especially focus on your launch technique, its the most curcial thing in a race. The mach 1 is moddd lightly enough that you shouldnt need a whole bunch more to beat it, stock for stock with good driving you should win. Better lucky next time man.

I think the only thing you need to win those races is A LOT of driving practice. Hate to say it but your driving was really poor and that cost you the races.
ANd on that first Mach 1 race NEVER let the RPMs drop that much in 1st gear or you'll be looking at tailights every time. Either do it from a stop or pick up speed....1st gear is too tall in these cars to be going from such a slow speed.
Wind out the gears all the way to 6 grand ( correct me if i'm wrong but it sounds like you aren't really taking it past 5500, meaning you are shifting right before your power peak) and on your launches slip the clutch with a decent amount of RPM to get you out of the hole.
Practice those skills and good luck bro.

first of all dont get too carried away with those comments. we know what the ls1/6 can do.
me and unit are the two biggest ford guys here when it comes to knowing what a ford or chevy can do.
For ws6 kid, just practice driving, get more road time and launching experience...
snoozer and the others, were in SA are you at, the north side. I know of a few houston cars up there that might want to play. just some slighty touched ls1's.
not to mention for you guys that knew about the Tx2K4 (national supra meet)..... the two fastest cars and highest output cars were a TT vette and a nitrous/supercharged viper. at 4800 rpms the vette made 1100 rwhp and the viper topped the dyno out at 1200 rpms at 3400 rpms :eek3:

I will race anyone....but I only have a 95 GT, no blower, turbo, spray, or heads
it is slow
but I love the runs and we can line up some more with my buddies

well just friends that attend UTSA on the northside 1604 loop. two i know are on the board... 2 slow and Alexws6

I think some of the UTSA guys meet up at the sonic right on dezavala for the fbody gatherings held every tuesday night...
