Lol.......I do have a ls7 s8. Rebuilt to stock because the engine was in pieces when I got it.

Getting to similar weight is one thing. Removing ammenities is another. I could easily take another 100+lb out of the car by doing some of the stuff you have previously stated.

Who cares? How would that 4.6 perform with 2v or 5.0 with push rods.........oh wait we already found that out.

Never said that. But show me another 3000-3050 car with all options. There won't be many. It takes a fair amount of effort that most either aren't willing, don't have the tools or know how to do.

You are to dumb to realise your starting with a chunk of metal out front that weights 80# more than my chunk. You stated your intentions somewhere, but I don't care enough to look.

How is the fr500 my equivalent? Did they put that stuff in a production car? I think not. Only 410 for a completely built engines ?......why bother these days. Bolt-on cars are making more than that from all the manufactures.

I think he was mainly talking about the 15 odd years Ford smashed GM with a smaller motor. LT1 came along...Ford went with an even smaller motor and it started all over again for GM boys.

Well he did say the 350s of it's era and as far as I remember the 5.0 was made through '95 in a Mustang. And hopefully you're not talking about the 4.6 when it first showed up in the Mustang. Hell my 3.8 'Bird ran with those dogs .

Oh btw, the Grand National and 3.8 Trans Am ran a train on both, with a smaller motor than both.

Less than a liter less displacement and turbocharged... Can't really use the "with a smaller motor" excuse effectively in this situation.

But foxes weigh as much as a shoebox . Thank you for the insight captain obvioso. And the 3.8 is actually more than a liter less in displacement than the 5.0

We could use plenty of n/a Hondas effectively in this situation however. Because "smaller motor" arguement=:
