Default 2004 ZO6 vs Porsche 911 Turbo

So my friend decided to go hunting since he just got his ZO6 tuned (392rwhp 379rwtq) so I rode with him to see what we can find. After about 30-45 mins of cruising around we spotted a black Porsche with some deep dish wheels so we pulled up beside him and I saw him drop a gear and he took off. The original video is much longer, but we didn't get any really clean runs besides what's in the video. After the runs he turned on his dome light and gave the thumbs up, he was alone too. I don't know much about those Porsche's, but how fast are they?? I'm not even sure it was a 911 Turbo, but I'm guessing it was because it said Turbo on the back. Anyway here's the vid

Z06 sounds hella nice. Hard to tell in the 2nd race but first looks like you pulled and held him off. I almost had a run in with a silver C5Z06 last night with borla stingers and who knows what else he had. Too much traffic stopped us and we went our way. After watching this vid at 392rwhp these cars are just flat out impressive.

Makes me want to sell my pig and get one. If I didn't need the two car seats in back...

only a very small amount of the 911 turbo's made were the 500hp+ cars so don't get your panties in a bunch.

Was probably a 996 Turbo maybe with the x50 option or 450hp. This very well could be the car in the video but it's impossible to tell. There's an old vid on youtube of a bolt-on c5z against several exotics and one is a 996 turbo with light mods. The two run dead even.

I don't think your friend could pull any type of 997 turbo like that and I own a 390whp c5 z06.

nice job holding the porsche off. to me it looks to be a 997 model from the round headlights and the light strip underneath the headlights. seeing as your buddy needs alot of improvement in his shifting, im going to say he ran a targa 4s(385hp) not a turbo. He missed/bounced off the limiter bad the first run then shifted really slow, then shifted really slow again and the porsche starting to gain back slowly. Then the second run he began to pull then as soon as he shifted, again really slow the porsche began to gain ground again. If were a 997 turbo, you shifting that slow the porsche would have walked you.

Never know man, could've very easily been a turbo 997 with a suck *** driver. That z06 shifting was rough.

I dont know what are chances of the porsche driver being worse at shifting that the guy in this vid. I have 1st hand experience running a 997 turbo, so i know what they can do. when i was stock i ran one and put about 1.5-2 cars on from like 60-90. I dynoed stock at 448. this guy has 50 less whp then me, has a passanger and im not one to toot my own horn, but i know i am a much quicker shifter than the guy in this vid.

Looks to me like it's a 997.1. The lights to me resemble more of the 997 than the 996 as there's a slight bit of light on the 996's lower portion to form the lower part of the head lamp. Possible kill? Yes, but I highly doubt that car was anything more than stock.

For mag times sake. A 997.1 with a manual trans or the tip tronic (the pdk wasn't available until they added the leds) is a high 11 @ 119-122.
