how is a stock ls1 so fast? a few of my kills so far

Ricer roll, crescent roll, honors roll....whatever. Bottom line is that I don't recall anyone saying a stock ls1 could take a modded Mach one (with a tire and gears) from a dig...I think the traps indicate the format of race on the street. Maybe we could find you a nice ls1 m6 with 4.10s, et streets, and a few exhaust pieces to run you then...? Why would a stock ls1 on stock streets run you on your tire and gears in the first place? You're trapping equal to or less than stock ls1 traps in that Mach, and that adds up real fast from a roll. If you aren't into rolls, you should be looking for cars that are setup like yours to run imo...

I'm guessing you have never been to the track so I guess asking you to post up a slip would be useless.

What are you guys going to do if my 2 seized calipers I found when I changed the brakes and taking off the front chrome 17x9s put my trap speed 110...111...112...or 113mph with mods in sig?
BTW sorry for the off topic OPer, if you want me to drop it let me know.

You could not.
Pre race excuse ftw! Just pokin' Dr.Stop, just pokin'...lol.
If I can find it, I'll post up my slip, but it's from way back, in another car, that runs just a hair better than what it would on the street.. . Then again it would run almost as quick on the street....
Why not? ^^^You're just mad because in Germany they'd be zippin' by you in that. Those old ladies in their Lexus's...damn them

Op you bring back great memories... I made a really big upgrade also.. a stock 5 speed 87 Toyota supra to a c6 vette after 5 years of driving... When I left the dealership I went straight to the track and first ever drag pass I made was a 12.7 @ 114. Beat a 06+ body style mustang cobra. I don't know the year that on was. Regardless I thought it was fast and could take on a 600... First *** handed.... second time I lost.. 408 dubbed 02 ss camaro.. He told me it was a bolt on ls1 and I lost 50$ from a 45-135 he got me by about 2 cars but that was when the car was bone stock. Yea the car will be fast as hell until you get walked and then the addiction comes Just set goals and go with them but do your research on the parts first. I'm sure there's plenty of guys here will help you out with the best mods for your budget.
