Hey congrats on the sweet setup.
As for the amount of $$$ you spend on your car, that's your own business. Anyone who criticizes the way you spend your money on your car is not worth the effort of arguing with them, just show them your tail lights in response.

Not too shabby then, Ordering from directly Greddy would've been a total rip. Good luck on the 9psi tune you will deffinitely take many, many, and many people by surprise.

He put down 370rwhp on 4-5lbs of boost. Was running 6lbs tonight and will get tuned for 9lbs. That is going to be a sick car.

Since i'm posting a loss, here's another one from tonight. Ran my buddies second gen talon, got pulled by 2 cars again, letting off at 120 or so. (i stop myself from going any faster and have made a pact to stay out of 5th)
Start from a 50 punch with him brake boosting. I pulled out a car or so infront, about the time i'm going into forth he starts reeling me in, passes me pretty hard around 110 and puts 2 cars on me.

Second gen talon, 50trim turbo, cams, 20lbs of boost on c16, and other misc stuff. Obviously we've got some quick imports down here. There weren't any domestics to play with tonight.

I did beat my friends WRX which is also a 12 second car. lol. I love these guys. They definatly have my respect.

If your curious as to what i have...
Important stuff- LT's, ORY, Borla, Lid,FTRA, Jantzer TB, pro 5.0, nitto's. Not to shabby but far from real fast.

Thanks for readin my glorious deaths.

TURBOS ARE GODDDDDDDDDDDDDD. I DONT CARE HOW GOOD YOUR MOTOR IS WITH THE RIGHT SET UP THE TURBO WILL ALWAYS WIN WHICH MAKES THEM SO UNFAIR. IVE SEEN SOME OF THE SHITIEST WITH THE WORST MOTORS ANS STILL WHOOP *** WITH A TURBO. DAMN THATS WHY I WANT ONE FOR MY LS1 LOL .

wha?

did you just say that any turbo motor, set up right, will always beat a n/a motor? i think you might want to take back that statement, or at least rephrase it. i don't think that, for instance, a turbo beetle could beat a properly set up and properly driven ls1, unless god himself was behind the wheel of the bug.

turbos are not magical. they are mechanical. they obey the laws of physics. they just put more oxygen into the combustion chambers. there are many different ways to do that, turbos, nitrous oxide, superchargers, hell even ported heads and more agressive cams will do it.

I think he meant two motors that are the same size except one has a turbo and one is built N/A.

i'm still not entirely sure what he means. if he means that if you take a n/a engine, put a turbo on it and then properly tune it, the turbo-equiped version is gonna make more power... well that is just common sense. in fact it's so obvious, that it's not worth mentioning... so i'm not sure why he would say it. thus i don't think that's what he's saying.

if her perhaps means something along the lines of...

[engage benchracing mode]
take a stock ls1, person A puts a turbo setup on it and does nothing else, and person B goes all out with the n/a route... that person A is going to make more power in the end... i'm still not sure that's true. what's the maximum boost you can run, on pump gas, on a stock ls1? due to it's naturally high compression, maybe 10-11 intercooled psi, with excellent tuning? what's that equal, about 400-450rwhp (i really do not know)? you can get 400-450rwhp out of a an agressive cam/heads package, although i dare say the turbo engine would have more power under the curve most likely. BUT once you get into stroker packages for the ls1 engine, the n/a ls1 can equal the turbo ls1 in power under the curve, and best it in top end power, all the while still on pump gas.

this of course begs the question "why does the turbo ls1 have to remain stock?"... because, if you mod the turbo engine to the same extent you've modded the n/a engine, you get back to the "why are we even having this discussion, it's common sense" paragraph i posted at the top.

Yea I watched a 350z get dynoed at Conley's. At 10psi it made 442rwhp and 480ftlb of torque, very impressive I must say.

Maybe you have one of those factory freaks. What did it put down n/a (stock). You must other work done besides the kit.

It's pretty damn impressive to be putting down 372whp with only 6psi.
