Yea, with 40rwhp advantage I knew he was full bolt ons. The cam statement was a joke towards him, but I'm not surprised you would try to twist things around.

I'm not saying he has run faster than me. He ran 12.2 and I ran 12.56 with only 2 runs. What I'm pointing out is he has full bolt ons, cam, and has a built motor. What's even better is you are comparing that car to a Mach 1 with nothing but gears, ram air intake, and catback.

Not defending the mustangs but if that's a head and cam Stang and running 13's something is wrong.
I own a 02 M6 NBM formula now, can't beat it for power and gas. But I did enjoy the sound of the Stang rolling through the gears.
They aren't bad in the right hands, and I thought I heard the PI stuff was late 01-04, not the full new edge run?

Thank you. Be careful though, you might get called a Ford fanboy

99-04 was all PI, the major mechanical change they did in mid '01 was going from the T45 to the 3650 (manual transmission).

Mid year 01 they went from the T45 trans to the 3560 trans. But as for the PI motors they started in 99. I have a friend that has a 99 with the ON3 turbo kit. Car is bone stock except for turbo and exhaust. On 8 or 9lbs it made 502whp.

You said it. I don't twist ****. Apparently he yanked you pretty hard.

The lt don't even have full bolt-on's (see where you twisted again) and the one's he has are not great. A rebuilt motor, not even bored with 2 used stock pistons from another motor is a "built" motor(you twisted once again) to you....lol

You always play your mods down and everyone else's up.

You guys want to see something interesting? Here's an old article in MM&FF with a bunch of HEAVILY modded Two-Valve Mustangs. Look at the times they run. These cars have every bolt-on imaginable, Ported heads, Ported intakes, Cams, super-short gearing, full suspensions, heavy weight reduction, slicks/skinnies, and most importantly, seasoned drag racers behind the wheel. And are hard pressed to get in the low 12's. Without a good head like TFS, a N/A 2V won't keep up with the competition. That's been my experience with them at least. Stock for stock, bolt-on for bolt-ons PI GT vs. LT1 is close race BUT, once you get into the internal mods, it's not even close. 2V is gonna need Forced Induction to play.

Here is that article.

He pulled pretty good when I was spinning on worn 275 Raptor street tires, yep. Like I said, he had 40rwhp over me there should be no surprise there. I beat him where it counted though, the track.

You are talking down the LT1 but talking up my Mach 1. Hell you've called my Mach 1 with gears, pvc intake, and catback "heavily modded".

You say he put in 2 stock pistons. He's been inside his motor, no telling what was done. Prolly about as "bolt on" as your LS6. BTW my 302 that made 456 to the tires is a stock motor with replaced stock pistons too.

I don't think you broke new ground there. Pretty much everything you said everyone here has known... 350cid vs 281cid, both have shitty parts to start with but once you put good parts on...duh at who has more potential.

My point was they (2v) have very little potential in N/A form, and the LT1 will kick a N/A 4.6's ***. That is all.

I'm pretty sure there are some N/A 2v's out there that can hold their own.

I don't have a Cinnabon within an hour drive from me. A Taco Bell is 10min away. I do however have a box of Cinnabon cereal in my kitchen pantry.
