103 is probably mid 13's in the 1/4 mile. SRT-8's are good for mid to low 13's in the 1/4 mile. But if it's a manual, ,he's gotta be a good driver to hit low 13's. My guess is it's a drivers race...should be really close if you guys get a fair race.

Exactly, IMO from what I've seen most stock SRT8s are high 13 second cars. And the RTs are about a second slower.

i could tell it was really close...i wasn't pulling him hard...just slowly. i'm getting a tune and my nitrous hooked up soon so, i'll try to get another run with him. preferably from a dig.

Lol, RT's are not high 14 second cars. In my experience they run even with a stock LT1, low 14's, rarely breaking into the 13's.

The SRT-8 usually hits mid 13's, with the better drivers hitting low 13's. Not saying a lot of people don't hit high 13's with them, but those people are racing in high elevation or need to get an auto since they can't shift.

From a dig I expect your car to take an early lead. A stalled auto against a manual, you should get the jump off the line, not to mention the F-body weighs about 700 lbs less. Good luck.

Ok so the RT and the SRT8 are closer than I thought. I think I remember a stock RT running 14's the last time I was at the track. Never seen a stock or close to stock SRT8 that impressed me.

Yeah, for 425HP they sure aren't that impressive. And the R/T is severely underpowered, made 345HP for its first several years...which is why they couldn't break out of the 14's.

Only Charger or Challenger worth a damn is the new 392, IMHO.

i wanted to get alongside him at a light cause i figured that was my best position but, i just couldn't make it happen...i was really happy that i was able to reel him in even if it was very slightly.

x3842u4238527347273471823!!!!

That's why I want to run a stock 392 at the track. I wouldn't waste my gas on a Charger SRT8 anymore after what I've seen they can't do.

Are these cars really that heavy? If they are, they really need to get on a diet quick! With 425 HP, and a reasonable weight, they should be in the mid 12's.

Good kill...

You beat the driver not the car. It happens, all part of racing.

If a 6.1 is a high 13sec car then Machs are high 14sec cars.

No doubting there has been 6.1's that have ran 14sec passes. Ive personally witnessed GT500's,C6's,Cobras, and bunch of other "fast" cars run 14sec passes or WORSE. Will that ever make me make myself sound so stupid to say that theyre 14sec cars cause thats what ive seen. Of course not. Im not that ignorant.
