Cool. As long as you're not sandbagging with a light, 600+ whp car that traps mid 130's or more, it should be a fun run.

Not that I mind if you are. I like watching fast cars go fast, even if I'm getting smaller in your mirrors while doing so. We'll just move you on to the 750 if you toast me.

403ss vs PSMs 600
Beans 750 vs Jareds zx14 50-140
RX7 on pump gas VS Beans
RX7 on race gas VS Jared

Lol its bad when i was expecting the opposite from seeign and hearing all these horrible riders getting beat by slow cars.

I wanna line up with a 600 and 750 on the highway, its a damn shame you guys are so far cause both of you can ride(PSM and Beans) so itd really be a battle. Mine should go mid 130s at a 3600lb raceweight.

YOu will see more aroudn 10lbs even with the stock pulley. Also Evolution has a Procharger for sale cheap. A F1A complete kit for like 5000. The guy has a boss and went to the F1R for more power. He was already obver 1000whp.

im not looking for that much power. 650-700 would be where id want to be at. F1 is a bit big for me. Not making this a dedicated drag car. Its a weekend warrior type street car. JPC has over 1kwhp on there NOVI2200 setup. I like there kit over both prochargers and vortechs. Should make a solid 440whp (my dyno) before it sees any boost. Im even gonna leave the 3.73s in back. I dont care if its not optimum for the quarter. Ill shift fifth gear if i have to. I like centri blower cars with a lot of gear. Makes for a real snappy setup.

There are so many bad riders out there that you'd have to race dozens of them in random encounters just to hopefully get one or two with competent riders. It's just how it is. A lot of guys don't seriously race their bikes, whether on a drag strip or at a road course; they just like to cruise around and/or look cool. There's no serious intent aside from a fun ride or maybe to pick up some girls.

And even the ones that do like to mess around a bit typically don't realize just how far you can drop gears, how to control them at those high RPMs, where the best shift points are, or how much things like bad (or no) tucking affects the performance, especially at higher speeds. There's this massive misconception that even if a 600 runs away from you down low, you'll catch it and walk by at 100mph because they hit a wall there. That's not even close to accurate on modern 600's, but there's enough poor riding out there to make it believable (and even realistic with your average rider on one).

That's just how it goes, I guess. But it does make it more fun for me when I hear someone running their mouth about how 600's are nothing. There are plenty of cars out there that will (and do) beat me, but it's typically the guys with the slower cars who are more ignorant to reality. They're always left scratching their heads or asking me "Is that a 1000?! Or just a 750?" as if me saying 750 would really disappoint them...
+1

I was hoping to see some 'bad gear/wrong gear' runs on video to illustrate just how much it takes before the car can actually pull a win. Very cool video though.

Are you sure about that $4200 will get you 700whp? 4200 may be a little optimistic to get you nearly 275-300whp gain.

That 750 is quick, but that 1400 moves out. That would be a good run though.

I'm doing a little work on the 750.

It's got more timing chain noise than i'd like and is starting to develop a low rpm misfire. I think the engine is fine and the misfire is related to throttle bodies not being correctly sync'd.

The timing chains on these bikes are known for a short lifespan so it could be due for replacement. Valves are probably just fine but will be adjusted for preventative maintenance.

Not doing anything internally to make it faster, just getting it fully dialed in / running as it should. I don't think there will be an issue having it ready for next weekends runs.

Just curious....have any of you ever rode a big bike(1300/1400cc sportbike)? I dont care what you read on paper it's different from anything else. They make torque. My 14 starts pulling at 3k. 600's and 1000's all need high revs to make any power. The power of the big bikes is awesome. It's addicting.
