As others have mentioned... That vette sounds wounded.

That 5.0 did really well. Wanted to see the 5.0 vs the vette for the hell of it.

GTO driver was banging the hell out of those gears, add driver mod to the modslist for the GTO.

Good video.

I just guessed that he was...not 100% sure if thats true or not though. I was looking the other way filming lol. We didn't knit pick all the details after the runs since it was gorgeous outside and we were just out having a good time.

Sucks man.

QUESTION: How much did it cost you with paint to do the c6 z06 body panel conversion? PM me if you can

Not hating just stating facts.
Thanks for saving me the typing. Hit the nail on the head.

Good runs otherwise, I was surprised by that damn 5.0!

He was def powershifting he wouldn't be bouncing off rev limiter regular speed shifting. the gto though was banging gearz.

That gto is slow. I've beaten a few of those 5.0s both stock and I/h in my bolt on ls1.

Sure you weren't racing the new V6 stangs?? Sounds like you ran into a few people who couldn't drive very well or had poorly running 5.0s. I've ran bolt on ls1's in this "slow" GTO, and put them in my mirror.

Cool story bro. But heres a fact for you. 5.0's stock trap 110-112 mph, and from a roll, the launch doesn't matter. To be even with/slightly pull a car that traps that is about right for the GTO's mods.

5.0 driver had the car for about 2 weeks when we ran him the first time so it's def a possibility he got better at driving it. And you don't know how bad I wish you lived closer so you could find out how slow GTO's were in your race car L99 auto camaro.

Thanks to everyone else!

I don't think he knew there were issues until they actually raced. It's probably not noticeable when driving normally in traffic. It's not like they raced 15 times and he just kept murdering it.

Traps? That's what a good running car SHOULD trap. Not all Cars are the same, and not all cars will trap the exact same with the same mods. Some will be faster and some will be slower. I've ran lots of GTO's with the same mods as op. Ive beat some and lost to some. All made about the same power, some cars are faster and some are slower.

so now that the vette is sorted out, and everyone has had more seat time, when are we gonna see part II? for the vette race, i say do 110 punches, that way we can see the vette do its thing. i bet that vette goes yard on both cars from 110 on up.
