Intake/longtube LS2 GTO vs bolt on C6 vette & 2011 5.0 **HD VID**
Here she is guys...my first vid on the new editing software. Theres a LOT more to learn now so this vid is basic compared to what the editing software can do, but still a million times better than windows movie maker!! And it's now in 720P HD, so be sure to watch it in that.
GTO has svede intake, kooks longtubes, and tune
5.0 is stock w/ 3.31 gears (******* haul ***!!)
C6 has intake, kooks longtubes, corsa catback, and ZR1 tranny (which is why the gearing is so long)

I don't know about that. The ZR1 tranny's gearing is a bit longer than stock, so he def lost some acceleration. He did it in preparation for a supercharger. And in his defense, he just got the car back the previous day with the new tranny, shifter, and clutch...so he was getting used to the setup which is why he missed 3rd.
Rev limiter? Guessing he was powershifting.

Get the intake ported on that GTO! I've been itching to run a 5.0. At a car show this last weekend there was a group of guys with a 2011 5.0 AND a 392 Challenger and none of them would run!

As far as the vette, the ZR1 tranny is the reason it was a good race for the goat I'm sure. It's the only C6 we've run so we have nothing to compare to. But damn those C6's are freaking bad *** cars! Me want!

Yea, those god damn 5.0's haul ***. The GTO def had more top end, but everytime the driver of the mustang went into 4th gear, he'd let off just into it. Had he wound it out, the GTO would have crept past him. In every vid, you can see the GTO go into 4th gear, and start pulling, but then the stang lets out. Still very impressive cars....and I just found out that the fastest trapping stock 5.0 currently has 3.31 gears. So to all the guys that always say the mustang would kill the goat with 3.73's,

I just got the car back the day before and had problems going into gear. The clutch needed to be bled also a new shifter box the bushings are warn. I had to wait for the rpms to drop a bit before it went in gear.

BTW, thats a nasty vette. Really made me want one lol. Never been in a C6 before.

Ya my installer went for a ride and was having trouble getting in the gears also we bled the system and adjusted the clutch rod on the tick master. It was better but still had problems going in third so we took off the mgw shifter. all the bushing on the shifter box are cracked and worn out so I need a new box. I guess its a common problem with corvettes. so every time I try to shift to third I hit the gate between 1st and third.

c6 needs driver mod. If you can't shift it fast then don't try to powershift and just lay it up on the rev limiter. That absolutely kills your momemtum. The zr1 gears are not the reason he did not run good those gears are great for roll racing they only drop to 5500 rpms on the shifts.The driver just needs to learn how to drive the car. Not hating just stating facts.
