LS1 Camaro vs BMW 135i **VIDEO**

Agreed with beans here. You simply lost to a faster car that didnt brake boost. No shame in that though as they are pretty quick cars. However if i had your car, id steepen the rear gear a bit and make fifth a power gear. Even bolt on power is enough for fifth gear with 4.10s

The beauty of the 135i's and the 335i's is that you never know what you are going to get. It could be a stock 260whp car or a 450whp bolt on/tune/meth car. Most 335i guy's don't bother to install a catback(no gains there) because stock flows so well and pair that with some downpipes it doesn't sound much different than stock.

Props to that 135i, by the looks and sound of things you have a strong running ls1 and props to you for driving the **** out of ur ls1.
Didnt know bimmer could move out that quick with those mods, he def had more top end... Either way, seemed like good run!

The power limits are a little up in the air. The stock turbo cars will make around 450whp with meth but not many are running singles yet. Some are in the works so who knows. It's generally believed that the 6speed auto and AWD are the weaker platforms for big power, but that isn't stopping some that venture into single turbo territory. As for them vs their RWD counterparts, you got to remember that the xi's can weigh up to 300lbs more and with a well prepped track and sticky tire, the AWD advantage deminishes. They usually have good et's, but trap isn't that great do to the added weight. It is fun to crack off 12's on run flats though. Now where the AWD's are deadly is on the street running from a dig.

a buddy just picked up an 05 m6 vette, it has vararam, some aftermarket catback, and a predator handheld tuner...we raced numerous times, all resulting in him putting 1-1.5 cars on me from 25/30 - 120ish. his second gear hammered me, 3rd and 4th he was barely creeping away. we both spun first. we did a 40 roll from 2nd gear and he REALLY hurt me that run haha.
i have a 99 m6 ws6 car literally with a lid, longtubes, and a bolted on muffler. stock everything else. no weight removed. yet.

Haha na he didn't. He was chill about it. We both didn't know what the outcome would be & hes been wondering what his car makes. So it was a good comparison. I still wanna see what it would be like from a dig if he had some better tires. But he will be downpipe & FMIC pretty soon & Ill be H/C so we shall see

Got to do a rematch against the 135i. He had less boost & was only on 91 instead of E85/91. Pretty damn good outcome!
