Its tough because its a remote shifter, and yes i have a hurst with a pistol grip on it (the day i put it on i knew i was going to break it with the amount of leverage i had). The shifter doesnt have shift stops. Ill be ordering an MGW shifter and using the stock shifter ball. It has shift stops. This whole time i was worried about crushing synchros but mine are all fine. Just a broken/bent fork. Id like to find some carbon synchros and billet forks... would def strengthen this trans a good bit. The gear size is actually pretty decent. Everything around the gears is junk though

OOOPPPPPSSS....I guess I shouldn't have asked how your trans was holding up the other day.

I would like to run a m6 gt. Everyone said the autos are faster and now the story changes. I had a 2012 ss and this car definitely feels a good bit quicker. Don't sleep on a 5th gen with driver mod...

Idk who ever said the autos were faster, they must have been retarded lol. Which is faster in the SS on the roll... the m6 or auto. Not discrediting your car. You gave the a6 a whooping. You and a stock m6 gt with a driver will be a great race on the roll. My guess is side by side. All the A6 cars wake up well with a tune and gears. But i would say you have a strong runner and you can drive it well. try and get a run in with a stock m6 gt. Ive still yet to see those 2 cars go at it with both cars being driven to the best of there ability.

lol... theres a plus and minus to each trans. MT82 - faster, fun, junk. A6 - slower, boring, quality build.

I think the A6 SS has a 3.27 and the M6 has a 3.45. I could be slightly off, but it's in that range.

That sucks. Tracy owner of maximum velocity has went threw 3 tranniesin her boss. It hates power. She was featured in MM&FF with the 3.6l KB installed. Its been down since the TX mile. She swapped it to an auto.

If anyone in the Atlanta area has a stock m6 gt and wants to run, pm me. I would be more than happy to line them up and compare on video.

Every car runs differently even though they could be the same make/year model.

Other variables include driver, traction, tires etc, tuneup, fuel type...stuff you don't see or hear about when coming across a lot of these videos.

One video showing a GT losing to an SS and the other way around isn't the Bible of how all these runs SHOULD be.
