Clearly a bolt on GTO is > or = a 415whp blown Mach-1. Bolt on Mach doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell, as I proved beyond the shadow of a doubt on many occasions.
Good one so by your math my mild bolt on mach > h/c/i gto .. So a bolton gto doesn't have a snowballs chance in hell.

How much compression was you shootin for? Sounds like you have something to work with now. Why was it falling on it's face?

Converter size It needs to stay above 6500 and it would only stall to 4200 even on the brake. Was suppose to be 11:5:1 but It is not quite that high and cams where suppose to be 25x/24x range originaly but it should still run pretty decent at 3100lbs.

How would you say a Bolt on Mach 1 would fair against a 2.8 upper pullied cobra? Decimated much?

It's coming good man. Only thing I'm waiting on is my built T56 to be finished and then she'll be out on the road, preying on the unsuspecting mach 1

You have the blue GTO, right? And had the 3rd gen you were going to do an LT1 in and then you wanted to do an LS1?

Depends I beat one from 20-125 with about a 3375 raceweight making about 315 still not a full bolton car. He beat from a 40 by a couple cars 4r was in a bog but a loss is a loss.

That 12.7 at 113 shows his severe lack of driver mod. He should be trapping at least 117 with that much HP. I ran 12.9 and bumped 110mph in good air with my Mach with just 4.10s, ORX, and a cat-back. Stock Cobras are wayyy heavier than Machs, so thats not a good comparison...and a stock Cobra can trap over 112 no problem.

Point is, the Mach needs some pratice....bad, lol

Still an awesome vid/race. Not trying to bash or take away from the win, just stating the obvious.

Open up the tolerances a bit to run a better oil and keep the crank off the bearings. Port the blower and put a metco pulley it. Nothing to major. Mainly make it run and hopefully hold up better. I would like to see it near 500whp. It already has a lighted spec clutch set-up.

The only things that would make a cobra way heavier than a mach is the added supercharger weight and the IRS (which I didn't think weighed all too much more than a solid axle). The mach now has the supercharger weight, so it has got to be close to a cobra. I'm thinking it weighs close to or just over 3600 lbs. I'm sure he could have driven better, but it doesn't explain him starting in the same gear and getting yanked right from the start. He only started to creep back up in 4th gear.

And thanks for the compliments too!

I think the IRS is about 80lbs heavier. I'm pretty sure the cobra has an iron block and the mach has an aluminum block. A stock mach is 200-250lbs lighter than a cobra.

Good run, I thought that Mach would walk away from the Goat, either way looks like some good running cars.

I could be wrong, I have read on the net that the IRS was about 150 pounds more than the live axle.
