So a 3800lb 730rwhp GT500 loses to a 570rwhp C6Z but a 4200lb 750rwhp Challenger beats a 650rwhp ZR1 and it isnt impressive??!! Haha...

I'll admit, that always ends up being a pretty big difference. Mustang Dynos always read lower.

I find it funny that people are unimpressed that the challenger won with 200 more hp(or whatever) but act oblivious to the fact that it weighs 1000lbs more.

It IS impressive that it won. It's NOT impressive that it weighs 1,000 pounds more.

Honestly if I had a built motor with a 3.6 L blower sitting on top of it and I lose to a pulley/tune ZR1 I would drive it off of a cliff. I fully expected that Challenger to pull that ZR1.

That Chally did damn well to pull on a very well driven ZR1. That same ZR1(with less power, pre-pulley) pulled away from an intake, pulley, and tune 13' GT500

If you read on SVT where the two owners are they both said cars are even. That the Gt500 short shifted to 5th but stayed in to see where the Vette would catch up. If you watch you see him get out then back in it when the vette gets beside him. He even said he lets back out of it.The owner of the GT500 also as a UGR built Lambo, had a GTR for his wife, and few other hp cars

Good runs!

Seems like a few here are desperately trying to stir the pot, but to no avail. lol

830rwhp @ 15psi Challenger takes out a ~625whp ZR1. Seems about right to me.

I could only imagine how nasty that chally would be if they could get the weight down to 3700-3800 pounds.(from the factory)

When you have the new 5.0's and GT500's at the weight and quality they are, and large four door sedans such as the G8 at the weight and quality they are, I'm still flabbergasted that Dodge put out a two door performance car like the Challenger that weighs as much as it does. Based on all of the other cars available on the market, it's just astounding.

Exactly, but remeber the ZL1 is right there with is. Im still baffled at how GM was able to add that much weight to the 5th Gen.

The 5th Gen in a big car sitting next to a mustang, but it looks like the mustang sitting next to a challenger. So for them to be the same weight is crazy.
