Here is a ZL1 at my local track running in October air. Time slip is shown at 2:59 in the vid (left lane). It ran a 12.98 @ 114 with a 2.3 60ft. The mph is just low from what I have seen. The guy racing it in the Civic has a M90 poking through the hood.

regarding the zl1: one locally went 12.8 @ 112 at the same time a buddy went 12.6 @ 113 in his bone stock 05 c6 (m6) car. he was next to my buddy and i saw the entire timeslip. nothing about it was impressive. my bolt-on fbody went almsot a second quicker and trapped with 1 mph of it. gm obviuosly was trying to sell a car with the specs, not build one that actually runs.

While I was at the track Saturday I got to talkin to a guy about his 11.3 sec Duramax....well he also has a ZL1. His is a stick and his buddy has one that is a auto. He said his buddy's has been a 10.8 with just bolt-ons.

I don't call that slow.

That civic is about 4mph slower than my friends bolt on k24, would be door to door with a couple bolt on k20 swaps. That thing is a big fail.

 

How am i upset that the ZL1 is slow? It sounds like you are. Im telling you what i have seen. My buddy ran his in 50 degrees...as in... IT WAS COLD!! The car went 12.4 at 114. I dont know what else you want me to tell you. If you honestly think the car is heat soaking...ehh nvm.

My buddy is the owner of the car. Same guy who has ran his gt500 to 11.6 at 121 with nothing but an air intake and tires. He has had a lot of fast cars. Hes gone faster in a bolt on auto 4th gen. Its not the driver. He himself says the car is just a roach. He bought it simply because he could.
