I just happen to roll across this randomly.
Interesting how things get so twisted in just a few hours ha. The car is also on stock flowing heads only upgrade was dual springs and pushrods.
That race was to close to call and I was up front by a fender until we were halfway up the hill in the race and my car was pulling time. We took it to around 180mph and ran out of road due to traffic, but were side by side the whole time.
Here are the only two videos at the moment, shitty quality but you can see I CLEARLY didn't get "walked"

If someone can figure out how to get these onto youtube from FB that would be great. The two people that posted the vids didnt have accounts.

WTF mate?
CTS-V coupes =
I think almost anyone would mod up purposely for a race with one so they wouldn't lose and see that ugly *** rear end in front of them

Now that one coupe that i like!!
On the ZL0, biggest fail from GM in a very long time.
The issues are from the factory tune.
Ive seen the iat table for the zl1,ctsv,and zr1. While the zr1 and V were similiar the zl1's starting pulling a **** ton of timing at very low temps. 8-10* is probably 80hp or more. Being down that much hp explains those times/traps.
The question is WHY did GM do this. Something is fishy with that mysterious QC hold they had on the car.
A custom tune should have the car running the numbers it supposed to.

dat CTS-V....wow!
been seriously thinking about moving on to a V coupe after i'm done with my vette...sexy as hell and one of the few luxo coupe/sedans left with a 6spd manual transmission! Not to mention it responds very well to mods thanks to the SC...
