Why do you keep saying *your* vette as if the car that ran the EVO is the same ZR1 in this race vs the GTR? You seriously aren't comparing two completely different cars with different setups, drivers, conditions, etc are you?

Yes - I am stating that the ZR1 in this video which is listed as having less HP than the GTR, lost to a similar powered EVO - and lost badly.
I agree that no two cars are EXACTLY alike - but here is my point;

When we are say that the GTR getting trounced the way it did - is normal for two cars that are supposed to be somewhat close in power - it does not jibe.

I used the video with the GTR and Evo to prove my point that cars with similar power - taking weight, driver and tire setup into account - should still be somewhat close. That just didn't happen in the video.

Anyways - as we are all losing our sense of humour here - I will let it go and say that I look forward to the ZR1 racing a similar powered GTR that we have ready to race him on our forum. We'll just have to see what happens.

is anyone factoring in gearing with this race at all? just asking, not trying to be a smart ***. that could also be part of the reason why people think the power deficit is so large...

the Vette looked like it zoomed by the GTR because as soon as it caught up and edged it by half a car the GTR stepped on the brakes

 

I do wonder if the ZR1 hadn't lost 4 cars to traction but instead gained 4+ cars from the get go would this ridiculous thread still be going?
