15.9 second 98 turbo dsm?! wtf. that's about 1 second too high for even a bad driver. someone must have forgotten to shift out of second...
when it comes to dsms, normally it's your GSX and Tsi AWD guys who actually know something about cars, and tend to have fast ones. the base model guys are either compeltely car ignorant, or complete ricers 98% of the time. the GS-T and Tsi (no awd) guys can fall either way, but i find ricish tendencies prevail frequently.

Man, for you guys that haven't dragged... you're missing out. Drag racing is the funnest sport I've ever taken part in (if you wanna call it a sport)
and a turbo DSM should be a low 15 second, high 14 second car, bone stock. He prolly has no idea hwo to drive it...
Skarecrow is pretty much right on the mark about the drivers, though.

Don't mean to post ***** but I also neglected to mention there were 2 supras there that night. The best time out of the supras was by the twin turbo one it was a 14.5. The other was running low 15s all night. I only managed a 13.6 for some reason though my computer was jacking up my shift points. It wouldnt allow my auto to shift over 4000 rpm in any gear. I later found out it was in the tuner that it had jacked up something and lowered the shift points. Well my friends silverado is a 96 with a vortec supercharger and a mild cam. He also has a shift kit torque convertor headers and positrac conversion kit. He was on stock tires with like 30k miles on them at least and like a 205 width. He pulled 13.3 which I was thoruoughly impressed by. But conditions were at 1600 feet above sea level I believe and the humidity wasn't so great. All the turbo cars were suffering that night.
