Car feels like it drops too far out of the RPM going from 2nd to 3rd and isn't at an optimal RPM crossing the line. So yea, the key is to match your gear to your combo and cross as close to peak power as possible.
You do have quite the mild setup.

Any plans to upgrade in the future?

Bet it is a really nice street car

Good kill Stoppy! Those Mach1's have always looked real nice, even better next to a 3v.

I do and run 11's at 120+. I'll tell ya it's real tricky to get 1.8 60's with stock C5 gearing on a street tire too. But the challenge is as fun as a handful of tricks.

LOL where does this come from? A Mach 1 usually makes MORE torque than horsepower. You just got mind fucked.

Good job! It's fun to see what they do in everyday trim. It's been a while since I ran mine like that.

And not much of either .

A ls1 will make more tq than hp too. Notches car made 340whp and 360wtq.....no where near full bolt-ons either.

Honestly I would expect nothing less out of a 346cid motor.

Sure these days. But the ls1 was introduced in 1996 as a 97 model in the vettes. 16-17 yrs ago now. Think about that.

This. Mine made 318 RWHP and 330 RWTQ with a couple mods plus tune.

None of mine ever had. My GTO did break even at 350/350 (STD), but my current ride is making slightly more HP than TQ. Was actually a lot more HP with the stock verter, like 360 RWTQ to 385 RWHP (SAE) through the stock cat-back.

Thanks. I've always had the itch to run it with stickies but the likelyhood of breaking drivetrain parts overweighed that itch. That price to pay wasn't worth the curiosity just one time at the track. Doesn't take a genius to estimate its an 11.3-11.4 car using sticky tires with the e.t. and mph it ran with half bold street tires.

Thank you sir. Even though I couldn't show everything it had, with very careful driving it can still shine, somewhat. Outrunning a Lamborgini Murcielago by exactly half a second surely put a shiny smirk on my grill

Do you know what a broad and a peaky powerband is? Torque has nothing to do with it....

I hope you are not implying that a mach has a peaky powerband.
