i dunno, i think a set of gears would really wake that car up. i've seen some engines make good power but really suck *** with regard to acceleration simply due to poor gearing.

i'd like to get in on some of this action you boys are promoting. i have a very basic mod bolt on m6 car. before the headers i might've pulled a car on pat's swapped jetta

Well I would say you on 4.10s in a 9 inch and me with 3.73s in the 10 bolt should be a really tight race man. My gears will be in in Jan or Feb man. We will run again, hopefully get several good videos. Then we will go out and rape the rest of town haha. Even though you already started that even with your 2.73s.

That's wild be the way. Can't believe 2.73s in a 6 speed car. Thing should be a beast with decent gears.

They are both 4th gens so his wheels will work.

He said it's a spare his father has sitting around in his shop. He didn't have to look for it.

There is one 9 inch at my dad's this one is one of my Cory and mines friends and it already has the brackets and everything on it to work in my car! I call it a major score. He is selling his car so he didn't install it, he has had it for 3 years stored(never used) and said he will sell it to me for 600 dollars.

Great find and an even better price. Is it a 3 or 4 channel rear?

It will work either way. Does your car have traction control?

3 channel - no traction control
4 channel - traction control. This one will have reluctor rings on the axles.

Nope no traction control so it looks like it should work! That is exciting news taking every ford 9 inch I've seen that will bolt on these cars are really expensive.

Just check the 9" and see if it has the reluctor wheels on the axles. If it doesn't then he is good to go. If it does then if he installs it, it will still bolt up fine and work but the abs light will come on because the 3 channel has a ABS sensor through the top of the pumpkin that reads off a reluctor wheel pressed on the posi. The 4 channel reads off of the reluctor rings on the axles.

If it has a plug at the top of the pumpkin you are good to go. No abs light and no more whining 10 bolt.
