Makes no sense, he should've put buses on that cam only f-body. Bolt on 4v's are easily over 110mph cars.

Edit: His car traps 116 and it spun.

They offered to have him send the trans to them and they will ship him a brand new trans for only 900 bucks. I was in shock that they did that. Trans out of warranty for 3 years.... AND a different owner of the car, still offered him the trans at less then half price. Performabuilt FTW
I put one behind a 408 trans Am I did for a guy......great people to deal with for sure!

It was the auto downshift time that screwed him.....he needs the driver mod that woulda held the gear on the hit. Looked to me like he pulled ya on the next 2 runs.

Negative sir. I preselected 2nd gear and was sitting at about 4200 rpm. I would never auto downshift from a roll. He beat me to the hit by a hair, thats all.

I also have milled 243 heads with an 11:1 compression.

I was just playing. Apparently to automach those mach1's and cobras or whatever "easily" trap over 110, if that was the case with a 150 shot it would've been trains on you, not a car. You have a very basic/mild setup that runs well.

Ahh, gotcha. Most guys can't get their Machs to trap 110+. I've actually been thru 3 of them, lol. My first Mach trapped 110 a few times with 4.10s, ORX, and a cat-back. Not common by any means. The 3rd one was strong too, but with the same mods and a tune it stayed in the 107-108 range. A guy over on Mustang Forums called RYGI ran some 12.0s at 113 with his full bolt-on, gear/slick Mach. He's one hell of a driver. Machs and Cobras are two completely diferent cars though.

Ran 109 with exhaust and drag radials with a shitty 60ft. My car could use a retune but it works alright for now.
