Vipers are really polarizing, either you hate it or love it. I can say after owning a C6 Z and now a Gen IV viper, it's really a toss up which one I liked more.
Vette was cheaper, easier to mod and drew less attention (good thing for me). Viper is much better built, sucks to mod (for a gen IV), and has a better resale value.
I actually liked how the Z looked in comparison, much more subtle and sleek. Viper is a lot more fun to drive though.

If you own a vetted or a viper bang for buck is long gone for most. Buy what you like better because a more rare car may be impressive to some but to others the superior car is where its at.

all the other vettes ive seen at lethal performance are young dudes, lol
i repeat vipers are for bi-curious kind of guys ,
in all honesty vipers cant be modded like the z06 and they tend to lose alot , check youtube , unless its a 800hp turbo vip its losing , ive beat 2 personally

I stopped readin this post when I saw people saying that they would RATHER own a Viper, over a vette.
Well, thats cool. But, consider this...I have driven multiple vipers, at all speeds,..from 25mph to 185+. I have worked on them also. Let me tell you,..they are piece of **** cars,...that are similar to that of a KIT car.
Yes, they look SICK. Yes, based off that, would love to own one or two but,..if I had to choose....hands down, the vette is the car you WOULD want if you were wanting to do ANY form of street driving.
The viper, is like the hot chick, that stuffs her bra...your expecting the world,..but once you get in her pants,..it really wasn't worth all of the trouble......the vette, is what it is. The sexy chick thats all natural,...faithful,..sucks your ***** while giving head,..nice natural *******....etc. No surprises.

Viper dudes be hating vettes.. Vettes be hating GTR's.. GTR's be anyone that's faster. I have a kinda local turbo viper makes like 890ish telling me no vette would be a close race for a gtr if they both make the same power.. Because I told him my end power goals is between 850-950 and I want to run a p900 gtr... I showed him that video of the zr1 vs gtr and now he wants to put $$ on it I would be a good match for a p700
