Well I raced a coworker at the track this summer. It didn't quite turn out the way he expected. I beat him by quite a few bus lengths. My car is a 2000 pewter Z28 stock at the time only mod was a lid. My tires were bald Firestones not very good at the launch. My competition was a 99 integra with a few bolt ons and a tune. We raced motor vs motor. I was running 13.3-13.4 et's but spun at the line and only mustered 13.8. still fast enough though.I didn't realize that a 4-banger not on boost had that little torque. That thing crawled like a turtle to the line He wants a rematch this summer and has put a new motor in the car. I still don't he think he has a chance motor to motor. I plan on installing a PT 4000 this spring and some drag radials.plus I have the usual suspension upgrades:SFC, LCA's and relo brackets PHB and a 25% pulley no torque arm yet. Video was taken from the integra.

My Bone stock 98 GS-R was top of the HP for 98 & it had 180. The 2000 Type-R's had 200 & were lighter...I think. If that guy ran a 17, that is really bad. Those things pull pretty good (once again, for what they are) all the way up to 8200rpm's. It should be good for 15's easy.

Lol That's not because of engine troubles it ran just fine. It's because of lack of engine itself. I had a 96 DX at one point with a B16a SiR swap with full bolt ons and as much chassis reinforcement as possible. Yeah complete waste of time, effort and money. Even with all of that it couldn't touch my bone stock LS1-T56 Z28. If I had save the money that I wasted on that POS civic and put it into my Camaro I would've had a 10 second car easily. Btw I love all of the stickers on the visor. They would've given him more HP if he had put them on the outside of the car. LMAO!
