2010 SS vs 2006 GTO
I was going through my photobucket and found this old race video with my old SS. A local car club that I am in was out on our fall cruise and when we were on the freeway a friend of mine and I decided to have a little extracurricular fun.
Run was from about 60 (we really didn't care to slow our group up anymore than that.) Bone stock SS M6. GTO is an automatic with intake and exhaust. One passenger in each car. Just a friendly race, no big deal.
WARNING!:Turn down your volume. Video was taken from a cell phone and my wife was a noob at recording races. Sorry in advance for the shitty audio.

GTO let out right as he was coming up on the Vette. I decided I wanted to stay in it to try to reach the same top speed that I had previously hit in my Grand Prix GXP. My wife told me it was enough at 145 so I gave up. lol

Haha. I managed 154 in my untuned GXP. Surprisingly it was more stable at 154 than the Camaro was at 145. And honestly neither of them were gps verified so who knows how fast I was actually going.

Yeah I'm sure. It was pretty spontaneous, so maybe the starting speed wasn't good for him? I was right in the meat of 2nd gear. I think that's why my pull started immediately.

I'm amazed to see that GTO get walked so hard. LOL Poor guy. He'd probably do better from a dig. Either way, good kill.

That GTO really needs driver mod. That was a ridiculously slow pull. A4 is not that bad on the highway... you just have to force most cars to do pulls at your starting MPH because the A4 does have alot of dead spots. Second gear kick at 60 on the highway is brutal in any year GTO A4. I didnt even see that guys front end raise at all.
I drive a bolt on 04 A4, thats tuned with just a bit of weight reduction. I have ran into three 5th gens, two of them were stock and a good chance that the drivers were newbs... I beat both stock ones but lost to a bolt on 5th gen with a good driver.
That GTO was so slow it hurt me just a bit.
