If you car only trapped 114 1/4, that puts you around......350ish hp. Are you spraying in the vid?? A car with 350rwhp and a little spray, I'd fully believe you.
Either:
A) You're spraying and don't want anyone else to know
B) That supra has some SERIOUS tuning issues
So,
I got to go with B. I believe you as you've been pretty straight up, and you're car doesn't act like a Sprayed car. Also, Supra's are notorious for being very finicky. Either way, the video doesn't lie.
Good Kill!!

This car is a super freak, and i still dont know why. The 114 trap was a heat soaked run at the 2003 f-body/pony car shootout....the car had quite a bit more in it, however i got stuck bracket racing. It trapped 112 on the cold run with me completely missing 2nd gear.
Onto the supra....i think it funny how EVERYBODY tries to make excuses by just looking at the bottom line. Its not peak power, its how long you make your peak power. The WS6 is making 350rwtq on the dyno at 1750rpm almost all the way to 6600. Why do you think lower rwhp f-bodies are toasting 03/04 cobras/supras with alot more hp. Theres plenty of factors, weight/gearing/driver etc. The fact that people come in here trying to make excuses for the supra cracks me up.

People tend to idolize Supra's.
Yes, they can be super fast, with the right mods, just like any car.
Some cars can be done less expensive than others.
Does anyone know why Supra's usually race from a roll, and not at a dig?
Has anyone ever looked at the power curve of a built up Supra?
Try modulating the power of a 700 HP Supra on street tires, especially when they're power doubles in a span of less than 1000 RPM.......
There's a running joke with Supra's, some of you may have heard it.
What do 400 HP Supra and 700 Hp Supra have in common?
They both run 12's.
Don't get me wrong, I love Supra's.
It was a toss up last year between a Z06 and a Supra TT.
If I could afford two toys, the Supra TT would be my second car.
But since I’m not rich, I decided to go with the friendly power curve of a N/A motor, which many people tend to overlook when looking at power. How the power is produced can be just as important as how much. Cuz it doesn't matter how much, what matters is how much of it you can put down to the ground under control.

Actually,
If you were racing from a hole shot, I'd give you the broad power band comment. BUT, you raced the supra from a roll.......Your'e starting off in the peak of the powerband(or should be if he knows how to drive)
The reason why F-bods can hang with a '03 corba Is not the broader powerband of the f-body, although it does help. The reason we keep up with those things is the '03-'04 cobras are way overweight, and as you know, 100lbs=1/10 in the 1/4......
I never made excuses....just valid points....
As for his car dynoing higher than average. Unless he's dynoing over 400 easy.....it ain't gonna happen if the supra is running right....sorry man, I love my f-bodies just as much as anyone else here...but statistically speaking...there's no chance.....It makes me sick to defend a import car. What makes me feel good is there IS a video of a WS.6 hauling *** on a Supra......and man is it beautiful!!!

and while you're at it... let's see the video of his engine bay 1) to see if it's even a single turbo Supra, and if so, 2) to see the size of the single turbo (because there are plenty of "small singles" as well.

Very true, That's why i believe it is a combination of a lot of factors working against the supra anf FOR the WS.6
1)WS.6 is in Top running order
2)WS.6 driver is a very good driver
3)Supra has some serious tuning issues
4)Supra driver may be lacking in some driving ability
5) WS.6 OWNED the supra....>see video<

Not spraying at all....that is my trademark Upper Deck (Roll Race) launch™
Car is not spraying, all the cen-tex people and Nitro Dave (sponsor) on here can verify this fact.

I know nothing about that Supra. Don't know who the guy is.
However, I DO know Venkman. He does NOT have nitrous on his car.
What happened, happened. Look at the video.
Last summer I murdered a silver Supra in my '01 SS on that same stretch in organized 40 MPH punches. Two runs, same result each time.
*however*, my SS happens to have a Vortech V9G.

I just don't understand. They are both fast cars, the supra's mods are hazy at best and somewhat undetermined, and Venkman won. Where's the beef? Props to the supra, but looks like he needs either a tune, driving school, or more mods.
