How much lighter are they, say 15/17 combo?

Race Stars look great and can't be beat for the money. Simple as that. For the racer on a budget not looking to spend a grand or more on race wheels they are an excellent alternative. I've got multiple friends that run them and never heard any complaints about quality, just compliments on how awesome they look. Like I said, my next F-body will have them.

So roughly 2.5lbs of rotational weight. Meh, that's not much, especially for the difference in price.

i never said because of solely the weight. They are stronger, lighter, IMO no comparison in looks, and are far less chinsy. Worth the extra loot all day long.

??? I never quoted you.

To each his own tho. Personally, I like the Race Stars better, and the very small difference in rotational weight you'd probably not even see that at the track. But looks are totally subjective so it all boils down to what each person wants.

Exactly, not worth it. I actually found a local place that had a sale going for a set of racestars 15x3.75 and 15x8's for $400. Thats less than what you'd pair for 2 weld rts. Not worth the price difference for 2lbs. You can probably make up the difference by choosing a light tire or something. Now if we were talking bogarts, look at the freaking difference. Also not a huge fan of the rts's they look boring and ehh.

But bogarts>* If i could own ANY set of wheels it would be D10s. Hands down my favorite wheel! You lucky SOB.

Good choice. Bogarts are the real deal. For how light they are they're definitely worth the extra cheese.

Agreed, not worth it. I'm sure the $500 saved could buy something nice.

id rather buy someone nice to begin with. That way everything you have on your car is a nice piece. This isnt a hobby you rush. But i guess thats just my mentality.

Thats also the same logic used that gets people to buy pacesetter headers over an ARH/Kooks header. Because with the extra money, you can buy something else. Id rather take my time and get the best i can get everytime.

I don't drive around on them much....some but not alot. I prefer my 18's just for the way the car hadles on them.

I actually have $0 in these. Almost sold them once just becuase I like wide wheels better.....but then thought wth.....they didn't cost anything...lol

x2..my car has taken forever to get where it is. Not because I couldn't have done it quicker. But because I just like tinkering along. Guys that swap/trade/buy all the time will likely never get great results unless their pockets are pretty deep.

Good parts are nice.....not that I have always had them. But this is why I know what the car will do in it's different configurations. This way when someone whines about fp'd this or lightened that I can put it back on "fair" (lol) ground and still out perform them......lmao

Its arguable, but its just not within my budget. If i had a bigger budget id obviously opt for better but, at only 2.5lb difference im not gonna lose any sleep over it.

On my old LS1 Z28, my pacesetters slipped right in, zero issues. I know some people who have used Kooks QTP and had minor issues. I was totally fine with the cheap route. Some people don't want to pay that chunk of change for what is some extra quality but mostly just a name.

(Obviously the scenario doesn't apply for ALL parts, but some...)

To each his own.. however... theres more to a header then quality.
