For sure. I went from a mac header to kooks and noticed a hell of a difference. Not so much at peak but threw the middle was huge....and I had ported my flanges on the macs and the ball flanges.

Its not so much the brand name but the fact you went from a mid to a full-length header. Even with ported flanges, Long-tubes are superior to a shorty/mid in every way.

Also, a lot guys running Pacesetters with success. It's not always about going for the most "expensive, high quality" parts but rather using what works!

I knew a few "budget racers" local to me that would hurt the feelings of some of the high dollar builds here. lol

That doesnt mean its because they used pacesetter headers lol. Venturi collectors... how much the venturi necks down, primary length, size, shape..etc... all factors on how a car will make power. Last i checked, pacesetter doesnt even have a merge collector.

All that means is those budget racers would go faster with less budget parts.

Stop reading into the internet and magazines so much. That kind of stuff can help but also hurt you.

As I said, its about 'what works'! And there are numerous examples of bolt-on, cam-only, heads/cam guys using Pacesetters and running respectable times. They're all over this site! Try looking around, there's a LOT more to LS1tech than the SRK. I'll leave it at that.

Yep. I always talk about this car, but down here this H/C Z28 is one of the fastest f-body's down here. The car has pacestter's, TSP H/C package, the cam is a tsunami cam and he's running 3.42's. Not the best gear combo with a big cam, and the car still traps 123. Stock kmember, full interior, no fancy weight reduction or nothing. It just works. To some people an off the shelf cam is "leaving power on the table" and to some people TSP heads aren't the best out there. But guess what the car gets it done.

For sure. But power didn't change alot at peak. 5-6 maybe, I would have to look....maybe less. But threw the middle was night and day seat of the pants difference.

A lot people are on the pypes setup saying it scavenges better then kooks/ssw/ and others for n/a 5.0's. WBT car runs them, and another's Guy just went 11.2 with them. He's doing a few more things to try touch 10's.

The past is just that. But new stuff seems to be on point. Great quality, great fitment. BBK seems to have stepped it up also. WBT runs pypes on his bolt on 10 sec car. So do few others. BBR just installed a seton a car that went low 10's with a paxton. BBK are being run by a lot of people as well. Some just like to spend money on the name brand stuff.

Pretty simple setup on my friend's car. No $700+ headers (just TSP 1 7/8"), no AFR or TFS head (PRC 237cc), no "professional" port work on the intake (friend did it) no "professional" trans build (same friend did this also). And it does work!

My only issue with BBK's is the coating they use. My headers on my Cobra are BBK's and they fit great, but the crappy coating makes them look like they've been sitting in the ocean for 10 years.

We put a Pype's H-pipe on my friends Saleen last year and the fitament of it was absolutely terrible.

I saw them (Pype's Install truck) down at Mustang Week a few years ago and they did a install demonstration on a 3V car. It took them almost all day to do a mid pipe and cat back, the system wouldn't fit right and gave them fits.

Swore off BBKs many times

I have seen tons of guys on cammed cars, bolt on cars and even heads cam cars just replace their Pacesetters with Kooks,TSP and gain nothing at the track MPH or ET
