If I say what just happened just now, people won't believe me... So I'm going to say it.
I pulled up to the 7-11 (I'm currently at work, and drove off to get a soda)... I see a nice blue G8 GT with the windows down... Mind you its drizzling out here. Its some fat bald guy buying pounds of ice cream and iced teas it looked like. I asked him if it was his car and he started telling me yeah, and it goes 0-60 in 5 seconds, and then started saying that the day he bought the car, the check engine light came on and it ended up being the air compressor (I'm sure he meant AC compressor). Anyway, he then told me 'If I had to do it again, I'd buy a Dodge Charger SRT'. He stated he had to have his engine rebuilt at 43k miles, and he was at 44k at the moment... or something along those lines.
ROFLMAO I found that just hilarious since I instantly thought about this thread. Too bad he doesn't know those G8s with a mere intake will smoke everything in the streets.
Seems he chilled and waited for me to get in my V before he took off. It sounded dead quiet. Must have been stock. I honestly stopped hearing him the instant I turned my car on. My idle drowned it out.
Obviously he knew magazine specs with the 0-60 quote, and he mentioned the SRT as his choice if he could do it again, without being asked, without being coaxed into it. Hell, I don't even know the guy. I'm sure his issue with the G8 was just one of those random things that happens with any car.
(I mean no offense to him if he's a member here. LMAO But I found that funny.)

What is this, a modded SRT8 losing to a modded G8? OMG it just can't be, since all you Mopar guys said that would never happen!

Obviously the mighty and overpriced SRT8 isn't so mighty after all. LMAO!!!!!

Too be fair it isn't mod for mod, the charger is down ported intake/Cai/headers.
I bet Ike still beats him even after the srt8 adds more stuff tho but it'll be real close

Per dodge's website, a 2013 SRT8 Charger Superbee is $42,995:

You're also comparing a 4 year old car to a brand new car. The older chargers were cheaper, about the same as a G8 GT.
Tell me why I'm wrong now.

That's without options and the OPTIONED PRICE (the one at the bottom of the sticker since you don't know that) on an older 6.1 SRT8 was close to $50 grand. I saw it on the showroom floor because we have a Dodge Caravan and it was in for service. I never seen so many damn liars in one thread in my life!!!!!
Base price IS NOT sticker price, get it through your thick head....
